Thanks, me to. I was a little worried it would be gaudy but I think it is just right. I told Rex earlier that to me it looks like it has something not very nice to say to you now.

Pure awesomeness. I think the chin spoiler you have in mind will really set it off.
"and now it's springtime for Jeffro, and his Challenger."
Time to dig her out of storage and get her ready for the Spring car show season! Wait, what is this shit? Oh fuck...
So it looks like I am going to have to paint the hood again. So how a hologram developed where the old "dodge" logo was on the hood. But that is ok I guess, I just got my new left front fender in yesterday so I need to paint and install that big bitch anyway.. I went with a Mopar reproduction fender to fix my mismatched body line and tighter wheel opening. Now I can get even more hella flush. Sorry for being away much MMers. I have been super busy with the renovations at the dealership (yes, to busy to even post a bunch of pictures and give you a play by play...)
I am posting to get MM's opinion on the chin spoiler again. I think we hashed this out again but with the new look I am going back and forth. Just to remind you the car now looks like this... (I will get a fresh pic with the scoop inserts in on here soon)
I would like some sort of chin or front spoiler to give the car a little lower stance. I am trying to choose between the stock T/A style spit spoiler and the spoilers by Randy pro touring spoiler. He only offers this one style, I asked him about doing one of his "standard" spoilers for Challenger and he told me he was not sure when he would do it. The Pro-touring has a recess in the middle that I am not so fond of and it looks like it does not stick out as big and bold as the T/A spoilers...not to mention the PT spoiler is over twice the money. Look at these pics and give me some feedback. Thanks!
T/A Spoilers
NOTE- See how close this guy has them together? This is a multi 100K restoration of a 1 in 5 car (the green one). So I know that is how they are supposed to look. Also bear in mind that I have a front license tag that will obscure the gap a bit on the OEM spoiler and might overshadow the smaller randy's spoiler if I go with that one.
Here is the Randy's

The renovations are looking good Jeff... we've driven past a couple times. i'm still waiting for the Jeep flex set up by the road
I vote T/A OEM joints.

So good to see it back.
I vote Randy's. OEM aren't bad but his looks better, not like a couple of buck teef (I love the resto-mod pro touring stuff)
I like the Randys spoiler better. As said before the gap in the t/a looks a little to big. With either of them couldn't you just have a body guy fill the gap though and have a custom one off?

Randy's. does it come in matte/satin or do you have to get a gloss coat like that? i think matte black would look nice.

He advertises it as a "satin" finish. He also offers it in bushed aluminum but I think that looks pretty gaudy. Thanks for the feedback guys. Vote in the poll if you feel like it. I think I might end up doing the Randy's. I just sucks the T/A's are $65 shipped and the other one is like $160. I have a damage spoiler from a new Challenger and oddly it lines up almost perfectly with the front of the old car. The turn signals are right where the fogs on the new car are. I am getting ready to swap a customer's 2010 R/T front splitter for the new HUGE one that comes on the 2011+ SRT-8. I am thinking I can get him to give me that one...maybe I can make something work??? More info on that idea here in the coming days.
Other things I am considering...
1. New rear leaf springs. The old ones are shot and sag like a bitch.
2. Performance shocks? seems like KYB is the only brand I can find that makes bolt in and they are just Gas-A-Just.
3. Firm Feel, Inc. Steering box and pitman arm upgrades.
4. 340 cam or maybe just a more aggressive tune.
5. Get me some gotdam rear bumper guards.
6. Stripes?
7. Rear spoiler?

just this morning I walked by a new challenger and looked at the splitter and said to myself "self, that would look pretty good on a classic challenger"
You sir, are a prophet.
When it doubt...custom. 2010 Challenger spoiler on 71 version 1.0
Oddly, the car this spoiler came off of like a year ago was in the shop right beside it today, with the whole top end off the engine...
Marked the center line and measured out to the sides.
Cut off the extra with a cutoff wheel, fitted back to car, drilled two outside holes.
After these pics I trimmed some more off the ends then glued some plastic tabs to it for mounting along the leading edge.
If it all works I plan to order a new one, only like $50 and make it happen all over again.

So, what joo guise think? I will say it ended up a bit more forward with the first two mounting holes then it looks in those pictures. I will get some better ones once I fit it tomorrow.

love it dude, but i prefer the factory end pieces instead of just cutting them off. maybe you could take material out of the center to bring the width down?
either way, when its done its going to look better than either aftermarket option.

Before you went all snippy, you should have tried applying heat to see if maybe you could've bent the ends in to better follow the end on your car. Either way, you need something as an endcap to have a more polished finish there.
I tried to make the ends fit (including heat) and the whole thing is to wide. The fog lamp dimples lined up perfect with my turn signals though so that worked out well. I cut the ends a little better than you see them in the pics. Moar pics tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback!
