In other news, I bought a 94 4-dr Accord 5-spd today - it's in good shape and only 107k, which is 107 times what I paid. I'll do a little maintenance and putz around in it for a little while and then should be able to flip it for double my money.
Nice. Hoping to do something similar soon

$25k in Great Falls, Montana. The car was imported into Florida originally and the front lip was damaged during shipping. Other than that it looks to be in great shape. The seller is surprisingly forward and upfront in his post, most of these are shady as hell  . He wrote a huge post about titling and registering, the car comes with a bunch of importation docs and can basically be state-registered but will never be federally legal (unless, perhaps, aftermarket side-impact crash structures are built into the doors as per Motorex's original arrangement with the US DOT for R33's - the only gray market Skylines technically allowed in this country). So, you can likely register it, but the man may come...
Sorta want, but with all the fed bullshit and motorex fucking everyone over makes me not want anymore.

love the color. always liked the R32 and 33 way better than anything afterwards.
agreed its a timebomb logistically. Motorex is the Hennessey of Nissans and the Gov't has already shown they'll come after stuff like this. and if you're only going to use it as a track car, i can't think of a worse idea.

I mean, come on, you could spend 45 grand on like, a 5 series. Or you could be AWESOME ALL THE TIME with this thing. Engine signed by the builder? And look at that interior. YES.
(does look like it needs to be lowered like 2 inches on just the rear for some reason....)

I dont think it needs to be lowered at all - that jacked up rear and raked front makes it look like a muscle car to me! The first thing I thought when I saw it was some sort of dodge from the 60s

It's funny you say that - I have a buddy talking about buying an 08 M5 and I was trying to talk him out of that because its so damn bland looking..thats what got my searching for other possibilites. I also found some sweet ass maseratis that are under 50k for like an 08/09 model, which is ridiculous. He was worried about maintenance, and didnt get why I shrugged that off since he's considering an m5 anyway

I actually kind of like it! I think it's overpriced but that is not something you are going to see every day.
I would DREAD to see the repair costs on that thing though vs. even a BMW...which are probably frequent...

yeah I have no clue on maintenance, could be a nightmare unless you know someone who can work on them. But hey, the BMW dealer is wicked expensive too.
Heck, for less you could pimp around in one of these in fully restored condition

And finding someone who could work on it wouldn't be much of a problem. I don't know why enthusiasts buy new cars. :dunno:
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a van is a good guy with a van
Well this guy is not a wrenching enthusiast like the rest of us. I guess some newer Bimmers come with some kind of maintenance package? He claimed he'll never have to work on the 3 series he has right now..does that sound right? I agree with you though - if you dont mind working on them, nothing is too much of a scare as long as the parts arent retarded high, and available

Im suspicious of that. Those trucks rust like MFers (trust me, I looked for one like that for like 6 months), and that one is in NJ. Two, people didnt buy these typically to be garage queens. Also - who puts in an aftermarket stereo on a truck with 24k miles that at this point would be a collector more than anything? I wouldnt think the "one owner" who clearly let it sit in a garage for 16 years would care enough to do that....
anyway, those are the best looking trucks ford ever made. if they didnt rust all to hell I'm sure you'd see a bunch more of them still riding around

I think they're awesome trucks, based on looks alone. I grew up in 1990s Fords, and for whatever reason, those trucks really stand out to me now. Maybe I remember them from the showroom or something.
