I was only basing it on the rental car optima I had like 3 -4 years ago that was absolute shit. Everything I put my hands on in the car felt like it came out of one of those glue-together car model kit templates.

I will say that while the CTS is super comfortable, well laid out, powerful and you can get it with every amenity imaginable, good gas mileage it does not get. Especially if you're going to be driving in the mountains. The best I've averaged was 26 all highway driving...closer to 19-20 with mixed / mostly town driving. The side benefit is that for the DI version anyway it makes over 300hp and you can use regular gas! Try that in a jap counterpart

Love the optima turbo but whoever designed those wheels should be shot.

I really like the way Kia and Hyundai cars feel and drive. In my opinion, they are miles better than Toyota in styling, driving feel, and maybe even interior quality.
The only complaint I have is that when I changed the spark plugs in my neighbors Sportage, it was a huge pain in the ass, and every bolt felt like it wanted to strip out. Not a fun job at all, and I'd be slightly concerned about that if I were to buy one, because I hate stuff that doesn't seem to want to go back together smoothly.

Personally Id drop the nav which brings it to 26500. Or drop the turbo altogether (200hp is plenty IMO) and get it for 23500... with all the fancy luxury shit. daaamnnn

New Mustang V6 :dunno: 305hp, 31mpg highway with the auto, love mine. I average about 26-27mpg 95% highway w/ the manual, it's rated at 29mpg. With Ford X-Plan pricing you are looking at 23 -> 28g depending on how you option it.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

Hrmm..another interesting thought.
I'm probably going to go test drive some things this weekend. As a side note, as a benefit through my company, I can get toyotas at dealer cost. Now, seeing as how theres like no effing toyota out there I'd want except a 4runner, sequoia or land cruiser - does anyone know a rough way to calculate dealer cost on a vehicle? I had briefly looked at avalons online, but..meh

It doesnt have a set release date yet do it? I havent been following it much. Also, I'm not sure if the guy can get scions. http://sandmountaintoyota.com/default.aspx
Just has 'yotas on the page, anyway. Can regular dealerships order a scion?

truecar.com has dealer cost
12-09-2011, 01:18 PM
It doesnt look like that shows incentives and mfr hold back... those are going to be a big part in the bottom line for the dealer.
12-09-2011, 02:52 PM
dealer cost as shown is below invoice, so it would have to include at least some incentives and holdback

They aren't supposed to offer any deals, promotions or discounts, just a WYSIWYG price, kinda like Apple but dumber.
