I was unaware of your relentless dislike toward Miatas. :dunno: How did I not know until the past couple-o-days?

I know right? You'd think he'd like them since they're the easiest to push onto scales

they arent always... something is always dragging/bent/broken etc. and that complicates pushing.
My dislike of miatas is directly related to everyone elses love for them. I find them slow, boring, uncomfortable as hell (even stock), and not attractive in any way. They are fairly affordable (to purchase and maintain) and are rear wheel drive... thats ALL they have going for them IMHO. I have no idea why there is so much love for them!

You can't view CR classifieds unless you have an account, but I would highly recommend getting one, because the classifieds section has the highest volume of cars and parts of any forum I've tried. The discussion is a little JDM/Ricey IMO, so if you want to talk race car, go to miata.net, if you want to buy shit, go to CR.
Anyway, that link is to a red '90 with 93k on it, that needs a right rear quarter panel. Says he hit the wall on the track, and it looks like he put it back to stock. Damage is only cosmetic (obviously would wanna get that checked out before buying). He's asking $1500 for the car, $2200 with the hard top, the hardtop is worth 1k by itself.
EDIT: Oh, and its in Norfolk.

What else do you need to go fast and have fun for not much money?
This club needs a honda hater and we'll be all set. Who's gonna step up?
Current:

I'd do it, but he's my neighbor and extended tool collection so someone with a little less to lose needs to step up. ;-)

Fast is relative. And I don't see a potential for SM to be fun either... To be "fast" there cost big money.
Joey you can hate all you want... I'll still let you guys borrow tools lol.
Cheap + fast = sport bike

OK, I'll be the hater. I never borrow tools from Kaan so it don't matter if he don't like me.
Kaan's qualms about the Miata can be directly applied to y'alls Honderps, too. By all reason, people shouldn't fanatically LOVE a Civic or CRX. They're slow, tinny, wrong-wheel-drive, relatively boring cars with mouse-fur cloth seats. To 99% of the world, they are commuter cars. But you guys love them because somehow, Honda "got it right" and to you, those cars 'feel right' when you drive the piss out of them.
I feel the same way about my balls-slow bar of soap roadster (that is just as tinny as a hatchpile). Mazda nailed it and something about it "feels right," even though it has most of the motor in common with the Escort/323 and seats that you have to cut foam from to be comfy in.

They do everything a Honda can do, except better, with the proper wheels driven, and without the miserable shame of being in a busted econocar.
That felt good.
