Just thought I would ask MM to keep its collective eyes open for me. I am looking for a 1985 or 86 Dodge Omni GLH turbo or a 1988 or 89 Dodge Omni (non-turbo regular old junk). I have the itch to get back to my roots.

I guess I should not be surprised by the hate. I have wanted to do another FWD Mopar for awhile now. My wife hates most everything except the K car and the Omni. I prefer the hatchback so I figured I would go that route. The old one (N/A) got 30mpg and was a great little car other then the piston slap. The plan as it is developing is to buy an 88/89 N/A in decent shape and get the body, paint, and interior figured out and just drive it as a spare MPG car while this is going on. All this while looking for a 88-90 Daytona Shelby to provide the driveline and the brakes as well as spare parts to get some extra money. I have a GLH body kit in the basement as well as some other lingering performance and just good NOS parts for an L-body laying around. My plan is to hopefully find one in white (or give it an all-over paintjob in white if it is not white) and flat black the hood and black out all the chrome and accents. Then I need to catch a set of cheap K1's to flat black and wrap in some cheap sticky rubber. That is the 411 on my thought process. The real money would not get spent on this pile until the Challenger's suspension is completely sorted out. At that point the Challenger's next step is a cool $5,000+ I don't have.

it will be nice to be able to call you turbo dodge again, instead of just dodge.

I have an old issue of HOT ROD around that had a "12 seconds for 2 grand" cover story or something to that effect. One of the featured rides was a total shitbox beige Omni. Guy had a MBC made out of fish tank parts, a diesel turbo, greasy junkyard parts everywhere, like that. And I thought that was pretty damn cool.

So if you're gonna do it, do it right. Make a fast, dumpy POS. Don't bling it out with candies and chrome like (IIRC) you were doing the Daytona. Viva cheap speed!

I'll be helpful now since I was a dick lol.

Talk to Andrew Jones. Not 100% sure, but I'd guess his user name is Andrew_J. He is selling a set.

Are the K-cars/Omnis 4x100? I'm guessing that's what Andrew has based on his owning a Miata and Teg.

Yep. They are 15x7, 4x100, with a +38 offset. The typical honda k1.

Send me a PM if you are interested, I need money to buy another set of tires for the miata's new wheels.

Thanks for the info on the K1's. The Omni is 4X100 stock but after a brake conversion (the SLH 'stops like hell' mod) it will be 5X100. Something like a Subaru or some Toyotas.

I have decided to go in a completely different direction. If someone should happen to see a 89-92 Dodge D250 (or W250) with a 12v Cummins Turbo Diesel. That is what I am looking for.
