Maengelito Wrote:In for instructing. I had Axxis Ultimates on the WRX. Definitely crazy amounts of dust but no squeaking at all. But, i'd say they are comparable to HPS pads. Mine would fade on hard run down 33W so I'm not sure if they would be much improvement over the HPS

Maengelito Wrote:In for instructing. Unfortunately Axxis Ultimates dont hold up at all on heavier cars. I literally melted a front set on my GSX in a hyperdrive. HP+ arent that bad actually in my experience, in fact I have a set thats like...my third backup set of pads. I even had Mike D'Amico do an entire weekend on the HP+ in a fully stock M3. He did say they started to fade a bit towards the end of the sessions, but thats better than axxis Ultimates. Again.....two sets of pads. One cheap set of DD pads for $40 bucks at Advance Auto, and then swap in REAL race pads when your at the track. Its worth it both for saving money, and increased stopping power.

if you swap out pads/rotors... keep extra parts around. I've already drilled on Brians S2k and searched the paddock for a spline lug wrench.
you are already swapping tires and moving them around a lot... doing that with your brakes will cause wear and tear on those bolts.

Did laura email you justin or did you email her again, because I asked right after vir (you know the one you didn't attend :evileye: ) and she said it would be hard for me to get a worker spot...just wondering if I should email her again.

I'd be down to split a room - still waiting on Laura and crew to see if I can register for Group2 solo. Taking a hiatus from the track was a bad idea
