I wish I drove a GTO while car shopping. I think it would have been a kickass car and probably gets better mileage than the g35 (which gets abysmal mileage)

The GTO definitely seems like a worthy option, I will look into what the insurance costs are. I have also just thought, screw it and get a newer white Civic Si coupe.

I'm a proud partial owner of an 02' 330i. We drove it back from Sebring in 12 hours all night to the burg (google how long it should take) then I auto X'd it (after about 15 minutes of downtime) and it didn't complain one bit. It also loved VIR with koni coils. That being said e46s are very predictable with what goes wrong, they're proven cars, and 4 doors are VERY nice to have. I also get at least 32mpg hiway and it has plenty of power to shoot around people in traffic when necessary.

Can you elaborate on this? I get mail from a variety of dealerships in the area that they would give me a good deal on my trade-in, because my car gets get MPG and is semi-rare. But they are probably just blowing smoke.

With the E46, I test drove it at the Ultimate Drive and liked it, I don't like the E92 because they just look too heavy, and they are over my budget. But then when you look at the mileage for the E46s around here at least, it is always way up there. Maybe I should go a different way. since the newest E46s are now 5 years old. I would love a 2006 330ci with ZHP, manual, red leather interior, and those slick LED taillights.

Id have to agree I want to see this article. From all my research it indicates that people on average are keeping their cars one year longer, sending used cars up. Yes, the Tsunami has had an affect, but used car prices have been creeping up before the tsunami ever happened.
