I thought it was pretty cool that BMW was able to win the 12 Hour even though the Corvettes and 458's were faster. Just goes to show proper preparation beats outright speed in a long race. Since the 3 series is getting a full model change for 2012 I wonder if they'll have the new M3 in time for Sebring '12.

Along the lines what G. is saying, I read this elsewhere...

(Context for first sentence is the ongoing battle stemming from the LGM/Michelin/CR debacle not an implication that one team had a better tire than the other at this event.)

The sentiments were seconded as well.

I was happy to see Tommy Milner, son of PTG owner Tom Milner, podium with the Corvette.

BTW G., was this a businessish trip too? How did that go?

Yeah I got a vendor booth in the paddock. Didn't sell as much as I wanted to but not terribly surprised by it. I wanted to get some real-world feedback and test the waters to see what things I need to do going forward. I'll most likely be back again next year.

I'll refine my target to white97DSM haha... I may be wrong but I think BMW just built those GT4 cars, this was their first true test, or I think it may have just been that this is the first year they switched to sequential, they had a couple issues with gearing but in the end it held up strong. I would imagine they don't go with the new body for 2012 for racing, interested to see what direction they went though.

And G. are you making any t-shirts for the show/ 10th anniversary??

I'd like to have a new design for the show but realistically I won't be able to. I could have something done before the end of April maybe. I also don't know what SOS's print schedule is like so I'd have to work around that (JMU requires that we get apparel printed through a licensed vendor since we have "Madison" in our name). Maybe we could get a sticker made too.

Also maybe Scotty and Madden can come up with a design faster than I can right now.

I talked it over with Jake months ago, and Madden and I were going to help with designs. it's been a while and we've been busy, so I have to get some more developed but I don't know what Madden's been up to.
