Madison Motorshow 2011!

Its that time again in celebrating ten years of MM, lets make this our best show yet!

Our annual car show is fast approaching, and we want to see YOU there!! Come join the crew from Madison Motorsports and show off your ride.

Saturday, April 2nd
10 AM to 3 PM
C4 Lot, on the JMU Campus
located off of Cantrell Avenue

$10 to show, $5 for MMers
FREE to spectate

Import ÔÇó Euro ÔÇó Domestic ÔÇó Classic ÔÇó 4├ù4 ÔÇó Motorcycle

Various companies and vendors will be on-site to support the show! As always, our good friends at Subaru North America will be present with their latest go-fast goodness. Other local groups such as Mid Atlantic Motorwerkes and the JMU Alternative Fuels Lab are planning on attending as well!

We have also partnered with CatsÔÇÖ Cradle, an animal shelter local to the Harrisonburg community. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to CatsÔÇÖ Cradle to help them further their goal of helping cats and dogs in need around the Valley.

So get out those calendars and save the date! Come on out and support MM and Cats Cradle, show off your ride, and spend the day hanging out with like-minded enthusiasts of all ages!

Any questions? Please feel free to contact carshow@mmsports.org at any time!

Let's get the word out early this year!! Feel free to post the image below to every forum you know of (and let us know here, to avoid duplicates). If people want the web address to visit, point them to www.mmsports.org/carshow.

We've asked Valley Dyno to come out, but they are unable to attend on the 2nd. So... if anyone knows of another portable dyno company nearby-ish, please let Cabell know so he can contact them ASAP. Thanks!

Also -- with the whole "MM-X" ten-year celebration. That will be in the evening after the show. We're still figuring out details on that and will post details in a new thread as we make plans.

Sad When did you contact them/what was their reason? Already booked? Good luck with that, they are few and far between. I'd try to contact the guys at College Park Tuning from UMD, they had a mobile dyno and their show. I know at one time they used these guys from southern NJ:

http://www.modernmusclemotorsports.com/

Function:Tuned in Sterling has/had a mobile dyno but the shop isn't operating as of a couple months ago. Regardless, maybe you can send them an email and somebody there could be willing to make some $ if they haven't sold it or something.

There is a company in MD called TNT Power that has one as well. I know there have been a few other shows in Nova that have had them so there must be a more DC-area outfit, or try to locate someone with a Dynapack (hub dyno) unit.

Will you be doing radio ads? Nice work on the flier. I'll get it posted as much as I can.

Apparently the only good day for them is the 9th, which is a NASA weekend, so we can't book the show then.

I'll talk to Scott Powell and see for radio. He was my "in" last year. Hopefully so. Also going to do local biz advertising with the fliers, plus table tents and banners on campus.

Added two that I know will be in the show. The Italia is provided it comes in by then, which it should.

Subaru NA (via Ralph Priebe) should be bringing or sending a few cars. Waiting to hear back more details but he is working it.

Mid Atlantic Motorwerkes is hoping to show up with at least one of their race cars (and trailer?).

I'll probably bring down the otter - if its still stock and boring I might say fuggit and enter the XJ into the 4x4 class

Just a reminder, somebody swing by the Commonwealth One off of Terri Dr. (across 33 from the mall) and give a flyer to Wayne in the office there, have him bring his supercharged Z06. Likewise to City Motors and their ZR1.
