I told my buddy about your bike last night at the bar. He wanted to know how much you paid for it haha. He used to race Ducatis professionally. That opened up a slew of drunken stories about when he was younger and would take his race bike on the freeway between Charlotte and Atlanta...every day sounded like a police pursuit basically.

SV: 73 hp / 47 ft-lb 848: 134 hp / 71 ft-lb Weight/Power SV: 5.9 VFR: 4.5 848: 3.1 The SV is fastest thing I've been on for any length of time, so the 848 is a HUGE step up. I tried to redline it this morning in 2nd gear, but got skurred at 75.

134? jfc. ok, that's fast. shit, the vfr was more than enough with 100ish. and it weighed a nice bit more. i can see redline in any gear being retarded.

So, not to be hating or anything, but I assume 848 is displacement? I guess I would have thought it would've had more HP.. I think 134 is also what my gsxr(750) has, with something like 82 torque, and it's 12 years old

Also get your crouch on so that you don't feel like you're getting pulled off the bike (unless you're trying to do a wheelie).

That is why 1200 cc Ducatis race against 1000 cc inline fours in WSBK.

I had a bunch of things to write...
...including thanking the guy in the E30 who pulled over to let me be first at the light on Route 7... ...and how crazy redline in 1st gear is... ...and how crazy redline in 2nd gear is... ...and how I'm too much of a pussay to redline 3rd... ...and how the bike felt most natural ~75 mph... ...but now all I can do is laugh at the gas light turning on only when I tried to restart it at 60 mph. It was like the damn thing said to me, "Oh, don't you know I'm not running 'cause I'm out of gas?"
