It took you longer than I expected. You're losing your edge.

Ive been busy at work.
and for the record, that was not directed at the subject of this thread, more the general "99% of women just care about the box" whores etc

I dont think my girlfriend cares at all about the box. I just didn't realize the box could have such a premium. I am leaning towards buying something with more bling and less brand name.

Speaking of gifts for girlfriends....I need some ideas. Usually I'm pretty good at thinking up gifts but Chels is picky and isn't giving me much to go on. All I know is that she doesn't want a hand bag. I gave her a laptop for her birthday so I'd like to stick away from electronics...unless it's something really cool and unique. She likes Twilight like most girls, and food, playing video games with me and most girly stuff like clothes. Any ideas I can steal from you guys?

If she isn't into yellow gold, like my wife, platinum is the best (and blingy-est) answer. White gold is decent, but it does yellow over time and has to be replated.

My butthole still hurts from selling the Jeep to buy the damned engagement ring. Jewelry is the biggest dicking known to man, only slightly above Snap-On tools. She got a fancy horse riding helmet this year. If I am going to spend hundreds of dollars on a Christmas present its at least going to be useful!

I thought about a smart phone because she needs one bad...but it doesn't do her any good without a plan for it and I'm not paying for an entire year of her cell phone bill :lol:WRXtranceformed Wrote:Any ideas I can steal from you guys? has anyone ever used a non-kitchenaid mixer to compare to, it seems everyone I know has one.

I have a cuisinart which is in the same price range. It's pretty awesome. I dont know about what features mixers have, but i think mine has them all - and the top part detaches so you can use it off the stand if you want

Yeah I don't think a mixer as awesome as it is would go over that well...haha. Neither one of us cooks anyhow (I can count on one hand the number of times I've grocery shopped this year) so I'll have to hold off on that gift until I'm married.
Someone today at work suggested a watch. That's not a bad idea, as she was kind of getting excited watching me shop for watches. lol that sounded weird.

If she doesn't make pie, does she maybe eat pie? If so, you know what to ask for your gift.
