So much for the GT hanging with an M3, not even close, according to SCCA, the new GT cant even hang with a 90s (or even 80s) M3.

The original thread title was saying that the GT could hang with an M3 at the track specifically. My point resides on that discussion. If we are talking about a street car more fun, theres SOO many variables that you are comparing apples to oranges.

+1. As much as I love AutoX, it is a sandbox where kids with slow (but light) cars like to play and delude themselves that they own quick cars. A parking lot is about the only place in the world where a Miata on R-Comps can be faster than a Corvette.

i keeps it real. mustangs have never been drivers. if you disagree, you need to get your head checked. if i'm spending that kind of coin to go fast, you can guarantee i'm not going to waste it on either of those cars... at which point, why do we even care which goes faster around a track?

Dare I say, if your a driver you can tell the difference between what "drives amazing in your hands" and what is simply not. Thats why miatas are so loved, yeah their pretty fast around an autocorss course and do pretty well, but its mainly that it just "feels excellent, so smooth, so tossable". Same goes for 911s, m3s, etc.

I agree, why compare yourself to the car your customers probably aren't even considering. I highly doubt that a Mustang buyer is considering an M3, I'd guess 90% of buyers of this car will only care about 2 things is it faster than a SS Camaro, or is it faster than the SRT8 Challenger. I could careless that this thing is faster than a kraut car, what I wanna know is the good old answer to the ford vs chevy vs dodge debate.

Have they announced the price point, last I read it was between a GT and a 500, that's what a 30k-40k price window over the GT?

Don't get me wrong the boss is pretty bad ass, biggest complaint is the roof matching the stripes, black aint bad but the white stripes/roof, omg its fugly.
