I figured I pushed my luck far enough at VIR a few weekends ago tracking my daily driver, and I can't keep taking nights off of work without pissing off my manager, so I'm not planning on hyper driving this Saturday at Summit.
I do think I will go up to hang out in the afternoon and absorb the sights, sounds and smells though, and try to grab a ridealong during the afternoon instructor session. It's a little over an hour from school, so I'll probably get up and leave around 11:30 (that's early okay, I get off work at 5am) and get there as the afternoon sessions start going.
There is also an arrive and drive karting session I may stay for that night.
If any current students are interested in going let me know and I can take a couple people and/or lead a convoy up to the track. Even being there not participating in any events is a blast. There are cars there for everyone's taste, and the people are always friendly.

Run friday/saturday/sunday. They are SPKs own karts, much faster than allsports. Arrive and drives are availalbe everyday. And I would suggest going sunday early morning to catch karting and also do the touring laps.

no way dude!! I say if you want to race a kart go this summer to a WKC event (woodbridgekartclub.com) and have yourself a fun run, it's way better and you are running on custom built engines and chassis, versus that mass manufactured junk. But hyperfest....Club Trip!! (check it: http://www.hyper-fest.com/events/blindDriver.html)<----hahaha that sounds so freaking awesome!!, and they just repaved Turn 1 supposedly!! (yay)

Yeah, but touring laps are really really lame, and there's an autocross in Verona on Sunday.
Kristin, its karting on the little kart track, not the full course, you'd never get your enduro kart up to speed.
Anyone actually thinking about coming?

Sounds good, thinking we'll meet at 11:20, leave at 11:30. Might as well meet in Charleston, mainly because I'm already here, and technically its more efficient, because we're headed north.
If anyone needs a ride from campus, that can be easily arranged, just speak up.
