skullcandy stuff is actually junk with a cool name and lots of marketing. you could save money and get better results w/ no-name chinese crap off ebay... not joking.
but hey, if they please your ears, good enough.

does she want in-ear? if so, yeah, they'll be great.
does she want them for exercise? sennheiser pmx70.
does she want them for travel and/or not in-ear? sennheiser px100.
and i'm not even a sennheiser fanboy... i just happen to own a lot of their cheap stuff because i've found it to be the best... i actually don't like the company or their higher end products at all. if y'all want nice stuff, go grados or allesandro.

i've never had a traditional in-ear stay in during exercise. additionally, if she plans to exercise outside, she won't want the cx300 as they're noise isolating and that's dangerous.

sorry. should have been more specific - she walks on the treadmill a few times a week and does some light stationary cycling. some light lifting as well. her knees are bad so running for any length is out of the question.
these would also be used for travelling (plane, car, train, etc)

Thanks mike, just ordered a pair of the pmx70s after years of hating earbuds while working out. Too bad its freaking lime-ass green. Any other colors? at 20 bucks id rather get two sets. Did you find while running that they irritated the top and back of your ear? Its fine for the first few miles, but once your doing more than a few miles a day, I tried one set of the around the ears and punished my poor skin around the ears. Please help?! I want music without pushing my hands into my ears every 10th step.

the koss ksc-35 work well while exercising too. external 'clip' style so they arent going anywhere even while running, and sound fantastic.

they make a nicer version that's yellow and gray. pmx80. i should probably pick them up when this current pair gets ratty.
never had any discomfort with them... i actually don't even notice them. only downside is when you get heavy amounts of sweat in your ears the sound gets muffled, but that'd go for any headphones i'd think... i don't think there is a design flaw that makes it worse in these.
if you'd like to, you can borrow my old pair. they're a bit stretched out and don't fit very well anymore (they have some superglue going on), but you're more than welcome to have or borrow them. with some more superglue, they could be back in original shape... i just use them on bad weather days.
edit: nevermind, you already ordered them i think you'll like them.

Are there any decent, relatively inexpensive replacements for the iPhone headphones?
I was in the Apple store the other day and all they had were the apple ones and $300 B&O stuff.
The mic on my apple ones broke a month or two ago and I've since realized how convenient it is to be able to make calls through the headphones.
also how about wireless headphones for my office, are there any out there that don't cost $200, even with a decently long cord I'm always getting caught up in it.
there is a version of the CX300 made for phones with a mic inline. no idea where to find them, all i know is that the do (or did) exist.
a quick search on head-fi will probably give you plenty of options

Thanks mike, working great for working out and cycling, dont like how there is a bit of wind sound when im biking but I gotta choose between comfortable and wind sound, or pain in the ass ear buds+ putting them back in+ ears hurting and barely better sound.

I wonder how good their DJ headphones are. The kid I bought my turntables from gave me a cheap set of Radio Shack headphones that work ok, but I'd like something a little nicer and that doesn't smell like cigarette and pot smoke from his basement

Just picked these up, not bad for $35. Better than what I could find for most decent headphones on Fleabay. I talked to a professional DJ last night at dinner and he said these are actually pretty decent.

So the G.I.s I picked up didn't last long. I guess you get what you pay for. I blew the drivers out during the first set I used them on because their isolation sucked, then the plastic part that extends outward connecting to the earpieces cracked and broke completely off the other night. I'm pretty easy on my equipment too, these just weren't built to last.
I almost bought some of the Pioneer HDJ1000s until I read a lot of reviews about them breaking within 6 months for a lot of people. So I picked up a set of these instead which aren't quite as high on the sound quality scale but will definitely be a step up from the SC's and are supposed to be much more rugged.

My brother bought me a set of Audio-Technica noise cancelling headphones for Christmas. I don't know where they stand in the hierarchy of headphones but the sound is ridiculous and the noise cancelling is pretty sweet...especially on the airplane. If anyone saw my Facebook feed, there was a picture of me passed out with them on which pretty much sums up how awesome they are.
