if it's your thing, no. i like them and all, but there are numerous other cars i'd want to get if i had 15k burning a hole in my pocket.

I just emailed him to get some specifics. I probably wouldnt do it if it wasn't numbers matching block/trans, or if he didnt at least have them somewhere. Might be able to do some horsetrading too. That 71 I have has a ton of parts that would fit a chevelle like he's looking for. If I could get him down to about 12,5 i'd be sold I think.

if you're interested in a numbers matching car i think i'd probably look at one that hasn't been modified to run 11's. a collectible like that has me thinking i'd either get a beat up one and have fun with it or a pristine one that you put in a vacuum bubble and take out once a year.

Hah...I got an email back from the guy..he's definitely a good ole boy, sounds like. It is the original block and trans, and he kept all the parts that he took off for mods. It's a clean looking car, but I am a little wary of inheriting someone elses problems..so I'm going to see if I can get him down some I think.

As for the WE4 that Scotty posted..those are nice cars, but they didn't have some of the touches that a GN got - the "turbo 6" logos in the interior, on the turbo cover, etc...and that engine bay picture looks pretty dirty, and the turbo cover is missing. The guy is trying to make a good case..but at the end of the day, it's not a real GN
