I am fairly numb to the excitment of getting a new car because this is the 7th new car I have had in the past year in a half with work. But the cool thing about this one is that its actually mine.
As you all know I had a 25k car voucher to use, and I had to keep the car 6 months. I wanted to get something fairly cool and that I wouldnt mind driving and that would hold its value fairly well.
I decided on a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. I knew every option I wanted and did a search on the east coast and found 2 that matched eveything I wanted. I was very picky with what I wanted. I had a local dealer pick up the car and I got it Weds.
The car stickered at 35.5k but with employee pricing and current incentives I for the car for $545 out of pocket.
The car is fully loaded. Hard top, tinted glass, tow package, remote start, nav. etc etc. It has every option avail.
Needless to say I like it so far. If I were in the market for a vehicle there would be no way Id buy a 35k Jeep Wrangler, but hey, Its pretty much free. Here are some pics

given the lineup, i'd say you made a pretty good choice. rode in one of those to a skins game last year... pleasantly surprised... far less spartan than they used to be. you gonna get crazy with it?

I had plans to get to modding it right away. But Im going to wait and see if Im going to keep it before I do anything to it. Its so damn hard driving a stock vehicle.. I hate it

35k oof!! Sweet ride man! I watched a mild build on one of those that Stacey David did on Gearz and it turned out pretty nasty... they did new fenders, side steps, some chrome stuff, suspension, intake and a tune.

Sounds like an awesome deal Blair. I definitely agree on waiting for a bit to decide on if you're keeping it before you start modding. Of course, I also encourage taking pictures if you do happen to start climbing snow banks/muddy hills/mountains.

nice ride Blair. the one time i drove a jeep it was for a rental car, however i didn't like its numb driving feel - it was a base wrangler

i had one on our vacation a few months back... i actually liked how it rode. then again, anything rides nicely when you're used to the hatch.

Nice ride!
Needs a 3" lift with dual steering stablizers, 18" wheels, Nitto Mud Grappler tires, K&N intake, exhaust, computer chip, full Kicker Marine setup, chrome brush guard with a Warn winch and nerf bars, Bushwacker fender flares, tinted windows, LED lights all the way around and I am sure there is plenty of other mods out there! Jeeps are great vehicles...if I ever decide to sell the Evo I'm getting a JEEP!!
