That Cheaperral that won GRMs 2007 challenge has 7 hours left on eBay. Currently at $12,600. :dunno:

I don't know anyone here who's got an engineering background and 3000+ man hours to put into a car...

Plus, all the money goes to charity, which I'm sure helps the total.

Well Feersty, you have to think about the purpose they built the car for. It's for Autocross and Drag Racing, and they had to build it for 2 grand. When was the last time you priced a manual trans C4? If you run across one for 2 grand you should buy it.

On the other hand, automatics are well established in drag racing, and with 400 ft-lbs of torque and a goddamn turbine sucking the car to the ground, they probably could have just direct driven the wheels and did OK.

I'd have to talk to the roommates... but IF you donkeys really want to give it a shot, i'll offer up space at the house... and tools... Smile

we'll have some futons and stuff for people to crash on. its not set up yet... PM your emails if you are interested (gmail prefered) and we'll get something going... we have to get the chasis/motor arguing over with.

I know its Oakton and not JMU... but the students would have a place to crash if they "wanted" to.

McFail with cheese son. We would need a RUNNER for sure! Keeping the damn thing here at the dealership would make the most sense.
