Saw two of these come through the H'burg auction not long ago....one brought $1600 with about 110k miles and one brough $2800 with 85k miles. Volvo's don't hold their value for shit. And 7.5k is a far stretch from what they car is actually worth.

How do auction prices compare to private party value? I just KBB'ed a '99 V70R AWD wagon with the same mileage, and it came to $7,090 in "Good" condition

Disclaimer: there isn't much cosmetically I like about this car. But, it looks like a well sorted SR240 for a good price. If it were mine...stock body/different color/tails/wheels and shift knob!

Believe me, I was greatly saddened when the Z I looked at last year was too rusty, and then after I bought my car I found a few clean ones online with no apparent rust that I could've had. I've kept on looking back at these, and if I could cough up the few grand difference between this cars asking price and the value of mine, I'd have it FS tomorrow.
