Horrible? Acceptable? There's a lot of generic windshields/fairings that will work, this one is cheap and looks ok to me.

The other one I like comes off a Ducati Monster, but I'm having trouble finding one, let alone a cheap one:

If you were buying it to impress me, I'd prefer the half fairing.

I don't hate it. I've seen some SV's with them, they don't look terrible.

If I may chime in, I would say leave it as-is. Keep the money for tires and maintenance.

I have no experience with the subject but I can't imagine those dinky things do that much to block wind.

kind of what i was thinking...looks like both just protect the gauges and maybe your midsection just a little. unless you're really tucked in there how are those fairings going to lift the wind over your torso?

that thing ain't gonna block any wind except what's hitting your balls.

ok guys thanks for the feedback. I think I'll give it a shot. I could very well be wrong, but I experience significant improvements just by reaching my hand out and resting it on top of the gauges, forming a tiny shield, so I imagine this will help at least that much. There's less wind pressure on my helmet, it's a little quieter, and the airflow seems smoother.

Hey, I could do with less ball wind! :dunno:

Well, it is done. I find it quite acceptable, I like it more than I thought I would. It's a cheap cheap thing... but it definitely helps with the wind. I wonder how long till the cheap windscreen gets cracked.

I decided to get another one I like the looks of much better. It's some OEM or knockoff from what I understand, it's much heavier duty fiberglass with a thicker windscreen. Fit is very tight around the cluster and mounts are well thought out. Doesn't help as much with the wind unless I'm tucked though, oh well. :dunno:

nobody even cares I'm just bored.
