That reminds me of the bickering that used to occur on Everquest forums. If there was one thing that really gave me a smile about that game though, it was breaking the rules and fucking your rivals over bigtime.

I'm hoping to eventually have enough troops to kind of send some reinforcements to people int eh alliance getting owned on the regular. I'm hoping to have 300+ troops by the weekend. when I get to the point I can spare them, I'll send some to you. 2 guys on the list getting it more regular than you, they'll get them first.

I think I've adopted a swarm strategy. I'm just gonna build a ton of the cheapest teuton units, with a hero. I have about 200 troops right now, not counting my hero, which is like adding another 12 troops (he's at level zero right now..axefighter)

I just got hit hard for the first time ever. I'm a join the alliance soon and will need just enough troops to prevent this guy or any other from attacking again...he only brought 25 against me and I doubt he has many more and no one else has tried to fuck with me.

I'm playing Romans and have just now read the strategy guide which basically says concentrate on resources over an army in the first 8 weeks so I'll be able to keep a regular run of resources to you in exchance of them troopies (and also to keep them from being stolen).

Well, i kind of disagree with that strategy, turns out. If that's what you want to do, no probs..but..I'd really suggest trying to get like 10 of your cheapest troops built, and raid raid raid..you can make so much more that way..in a lot less time.

The key is to never have your troops at home though. They are basically your source of income, and they have to get a certain number of successful raids under their belt to turn a profit. I keep my troops away from village as much as possible, and overnight for sure. This keeps them from getting killed (just make sure not to raid giant villages.. <60 for starters). And in turn, you get so many resources you can upgrade your stuff, build more troops, etc. Make it a cycle.

Edit: also, little did that guy know that was like 1/3 my current army..haha

Embassy is going up, I hope being a part of the alliance deters fools.

According to the guides I've been reading the Romans are a powerhouse once their resources are up so that's all I'm working on. I'm going to simply send resources to anyone who can hook me up with defensive troops and reinvest the rest into resources until I'm a much higher level (working on 4 right now).
