That being said, I am glad that you found us (MM) and I'm glad you decided to join the forum. I'm sorry if I jumped to conclusions and you didn't mean to turn your nose up at us... It was just that you've had quite a few posts out of your 39 that make you seem a little... well... you turned your nose up.

yeah reading over those quotes i can see how I may have come off as an A hole... but I assure you, in my posts (well at least most of my posts) I had no intention of turning my nose up to anyone... I am actually very impressed with mm so far and I do plan to check it out next semester... sarcasm is just not my thing and jeez I have to get up at 7 every morning after long long long nights of drinking and everything that goes with it... so i'm sure my moods dont help... but anyways this is a pretty funny topic so heres a little story:
First off I ve lived in morocco for most of my life... (not being ignorant or judging!!!) but for those of you how dont know where that is: morocco = third world country in north africa right under spain and very close to the white island (ibiza), no speed limits, no drinking age, fun place to grow up... soooo I was about fifteen and i was driving my first car (peugeot 406) to this party spanish terr up north from my hometown... It was about 2.00 am and i am completely freaking lost... i was doing 110 K's and im panicking cus I didnt have a drivers license, a quarter tank of gas and i had no f'ing clue where i was... anyways so im coming up on this dark ass road still doing round 110, 120... and theres this fucking bridge just jumped out of the middle of nowhere... so yeah you guys are probably thinking soooooo??? get on with it... well mind you the bridge was broken in half with about a 3 meter gap in the middle... every night before I go to bed I pray to god and thank him for abs... the car stopped about 10 cm from the gap, I got pic's of the bridge but at home, i can post them tomorrow if u guys are interested.... anyways, i wonder if I had floored it would it have made the jump???? (watched "Speed" one too many times)
that's crazy, where did you grow up in morocco? I lived in Marrakesh for a year and some. Last year I hit a deer that wouldn't have had to get hit if I would've had better brakes in my stupid baby blue civic.
hitting animals sux, that deer must have taken a chunk out of your ride... I grew up in Rabat... how did you end up in marrakesh?
dad's work.
I feel like I need to share another story.
In uganda, I drove through a herd of elephants and i stopped behind one. I could have touched its ass out my window. It turned around, flared its ears and tooted its horn at me. That's the day I learned how to do a burnout.
Oh, and I learned how to do this in Uganda:
let the flaming begin!! :lol:
I went to Catholic school:
8th grade: Made a phallic symbol during art class out of clay. Art teacher saw it, then I went to the principal. I had to write a letter of apology to the art teacher who was also the mother of a girl in my class. The principal said: "This is totally inapproriate."
7th grade: Went with a neighbor of mine( we went to the same school)to the convenience store. He stole exlax from there then secretly put it in the lunch of the person he didn't like. This kid is a big pothead now and follows Phish around. Drives drunk. He joined TKE and failed out of Longwood, got a .5 gpa, he can't resist temptation. I asked the kid on the day he did this: "How was the chocolate." We both went to the principal's office, I got a detention for knowing about it, he got suspended. His mother was also the librarian at the time. The kid was sick the next few days with the squirts.

Stupid driving shit:
*80 in a 55 - warning from a state trooper
*2 Days later - 63 in a 25 - got caught by a cop who was less than pleased - 5 point ticket & $523 (reduced to 2 and $150)
*Doing doughnuts in the snow of my neighborhood parking lot, rent-a-cop came to break up my fun, I did a J-turn and left the lot (no pursuit)
*Passed / "Reverse Passed" my friend 3 times on a 2 lane road
*Tried to take a 90 degree corner at 40mph and left 20ft of skid marks in the dirt on the side of the road (only time I have ever been off-roading.)
*Put my car into reverse while doing 35 - car still runs without a hiccup.
***MOST RECENT*** Shifted from 4th to 2nd and popped the clutch of my new car because a Civic was tailgating me 5 feet from my bumper, he swerved, turned on his highbeems, and then proceeded to try and follow me (I assume to beat the living shit out of me). This led to a getaway that reached 90mph+ on roads infested with deer, caused the front of my car to get airborne over a small dip, and subsequently broke the welds on the top heat shield on one of my cats from the impact. (I did get away though)

Took my brothers car up to food city over last winter and did donuts in the parking lot in the snow. Was heading back down the hill and passed a cop going up the hill.
This has to be one of the dumbest things ever...I didn't do it, but I helped the girl get out of it. I went to a party out at the lake thats about 20 minutes from my house. Luckly I was driving the truck that night. Well, my friend Patty has a vw beetle. She is extremely ditzy and doesn't know how to drive worth a shit. She decides that she wants to park in the back and as she's backing up she obviously quit paying attention and backed off the edge and into a slick swampy kinda area just off of their yard. Her being the highly intelligent one she is, puts it in drive and slams on the gas, somehow thinking that her car would just drive right out of it. She continued to sit and spin for at least a minute before me, the girl whose house we were at, and another friend came outside and told her to stop. I went and got a tow strap and backed the truck up close to her car (I made sure not to drop into the swampy area). After hooking it up I pulled her car back into the yard. We all went back inside and had a beer and a LOT of laughs about that evening.

ScottyB Wrote:me and a couple guys went to play a trick on one of my friends, that ended up turning bad. what happened is that we shot him from 40 feet out with a water balloon using one of those 3 man water balloon launchers. the shot was like a line drive, and the balloon hit him square in the chest. he could barely breathe for nearly 5 minutes. if we would have hit him in the face...yeah. Heh, at boy scout camp one time, we were playing with a 3 man launcher. We were on a stream and wanted to try skipping a rock with it to see how far it would go. Started out with pebbles, but they wouldn't do anything cept fall out of the pocket. Soooo, instead of upgrading to midsize rocks like normal people, we went up to a large flat rock the size of 2 hands layed out next to each other (f'ing huge compared to our previous ammunition). We pulled way back and it looked like it was gonna fly, but instead of it launching out, the rock somehow ended up staying in the pocket (we think the elastic ropes twisted in mid-launch) and it came right back at the launcher. It stopped about 2 feet from his chest and unleashed its burden right into my bud. I can still imagine the thud it made as it slammed into his chest. He sat down and wheezed for a solid 30 minutes before he was even able to stand up. Me and the other guy thought he was going to die. He finally was able to walk around again like "normal" after about an hour of recovery.
I've run from the cops on numerous occaisions. Won't expound on that but I've never been caught once I decided to run. It's nice having a car that handles very well.
Donuts on icy parking lot this winter at JMU. Ended up breaking my exhaust canister off of the pipe and getting run off by JMUPD (didn't realize exhaust was busted until I heard rattling behind me, parked car and saw black shit coming from my inverted canister

oh, it was fun.
You have no idea how cool it is to see a fiesta with a half-tank of gas be thrown up into the air by an explosion.
Damn near the coolest thing I've ever seen.

I'm trying to think of some other highlights from my upbringing in WV. So, in a non-competitive manner, here are some more:
A girl backed her ford ranger over a 6 foot embankment. My buddy Carl and I yanked it out with my hopped up Explorer at the time, that was pretty neat to watch.
Carl (same buddy) and I would meet randomly on the plethera of 2 lane roads in my town, get into the opposite lane (me in the left lane, him in the right) and pass one another. It was a rush the first time, got boreing the next few, and became a rush again when there were cars both in front and behind us.
Drove the explorer up a really rough trail with a bunch of drunk (I was DD of course) friends. They were joking me about it, so we backed down the same trail with pretty good speed. Bent the frame on the explorer...
In an F-150, near rawley springs (out 33 from h'burg) hit a nice waterbar at about 45mph and jumped so high that I could feel each section of the process (going up, leveling off, and coming back down). Landed in a turn, recovered, hit the second waterbar at about 30mph, jumped again. Bent the frame in that truck too... Christine was with me on that in case anyone needs references.
Made it from Spencer, WV to Ripley, WV in 15 mintues. It's a 30 mile trip. That's on Rt. 33, 2 lanes. Carl was on one of those trips too if you need a second opiion. That was in the infamous XR4ti  and was such a stupid stunt that I'd never do it again. Quick math averages 100mph - we were passing cars so fast they were running off the road, passing on double lines, around turns, and had no concept of hazzards. Stupid young kids in a quick car I guess.
Jumped the XR4ti and the Explorer on a great bridge on a one lane backroad where you actually land ON the bridge (in hindsite that was dumb.) Carl was following me and said the XR's rear tires were at least 1.5 feet off the asphalt. The landing from that jump did in my muffler as well as any hope of proper alignment. I think it also screwed up the alignmetn of my tranny/driveshaft/rearend.
Made it from Spencer WV to Charleston WV and back in 1.5 hours (50 miles each way, some interstate though, had cruize set on 110mph on that part). This was in 97 when there weren't as many cops.
Hit 135 in the XR on I-64 just to see what it was like.
Participated in, uh, was the focus of, a high speed persuit (2 cops) on the backroads around Spencer. I was in a brand new Mustang GT (orange of all colors) and my friend Jill was with me. A quick turnoff and stopping with the e-brake (no brake lights that way) got us out of that one.
The Exporer was actually pretty sure footed, enough so that I coudl yank the e-brake and do a nice 180. I was with Carl, Jill, and a couple other friends and we went to our favorite e-brake spot. Did the turn, caught traction right at the end, and put the explorer on 2 wheels for about 1.5 seconds. When it came back down we all thought it was awesome, but not so awesome that we'd try it again.
Drove through some pretty deep water in the Explorer. It had a 2" lift and 33's, and the water was up to the bottom of the mirror. It didnt' have a snorkle system or anythign on it, so I guess we (carl and jill again) got lucky. As soon as we got out of the water, all the instrument pannel lights were flashing and the engine was barely running (wonder why!?). A week later the truck smelled like a swamp from all the water the leaked in.
Hit 120 in a 1996 Ford Explorer. Wasn't too bad, but wasn't great either.
Raced Carl and variosu other peopel on 1 lane roads, where passing was acheived by blasing your own trail on the side of the road/grave/grass.
Drove an F-150 over the trakcs by McGraw Long dorm and up the steep hill, only to see a cop in the parking lot (it was at night). He wasn't impressed, so I got a reckless driving ticket. Got out of that, so the same cop turned me into JMU and I had to go to a class because I got nailed for "dangerous practices." He was a jerk.
Ran through large snow piles in the explorer. One time, I didn't see the 5" tree in the middle and it bent the brushguard so it was almost flat with the ground. This was repaired by driving the explorer up against a cinderblock wall and thusly pushign the brush guard back into place. Carl was on that excusiion as well.
I've gotta get back to workxor, but if I think of anything else that you guys might find entertaining, I'll post it.
Have a good one.

I do, but tracking a saturn (not just one, but two of them) is infinitely more stupid than running from the cops and banging underage girls. Did I say that out loud? Move along, nothing to see here....
