Thanks, guys, that was deep.

Well, as I discussed with RJ earlier, I bought this bike with the expectation of *not* pissing away a bunch of money on it. I'm pissed because I've had it less than a year, and already spent more on parts than I spent on my last *whole* motorcycle.

It cost me less than $100 to put that thing back on the road, and *none* of the work was complicated at all. In fact, half of that cost was paint, and I know you can paint things  You could've easy done the same thing, gotten more money, but you didn't. You bitched out and *accepted* my lowball offer. That being said, I never would've gotten into bikes if I hadn't found one that was virtually free. So, thanks for that much at least 8)

It fixed itself. I went out today and warmed it up, measured the voltages, they were fine , so I went for a ride. It made it around the county with no issues, so I'm going to ride it to work tomorrow.
So I guess that I'm still mad at Honda, but I don't want to draw the ire of their apparent magical powers... Yay Honda?

A lot of VFR guys run active volt-meters on their batteries that they can read from the seat during a ride... I always thought about doing it. Maybe you should, too? Notice the problem before if leaves you with a battery resembling a pot roast.

Had a nice ride to work this morning - no electrical issues, and very few things caught on fire. In honor of the 36-degree wind blast hitting me in the neck, I ordered a ZG Double Bubble windscreen...

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth |
