New addition... [John's '01 VFR Thread] - JohnC - 08-07-2006

This is the worst-kept secret I've ever had, because I'm so damn giddy I can't keep my mouth shut. So I'll share.

I'm picking it up on Thursday. '01 VFR 800, bone stock, 15k miles. Got a deal too good to pass up, so I had to move *very* fast to check it out and put down an ATM-withdrawal limit deposit 8)

Ryan Thayer - It will need a black MM sticker.

- .paul - 08-07-2006

- Ryan T - 08-07-2006

Mail some to me too, if you have them. I have wanted one for 8 months.

Nice bike John, matches the gear you already have.

Rain rain, go away...

- Ginger - 08-10-2006

You've got a VFR now, John. If it rains you're supposed to still ride it and make fun of all the sportbikers stuck indoors.

Well, I don't actually have it yet. I was hoping not to have to ride it for the very first time in a heavy thunderstorm...

Bling on man! You are really hooked ;-)!

i remember when i first got the RR and rode down with RJ to the MM carshow....i was actually pretty scared of downing it sice it was the first few weeks i had it and my first time riding in the rain Confusedhock:

it's ok if you HAVE to do it, but i certainly don't like riding in the rain and will avoid it at all costs.

- JohnC - 08-10-2006

Holy shiznit batman - this bike is freaking awesome.

And yes, I rode it home from Fredericksburg, in a thunderstorm. And it was totally worth it.

Pics after I take a shower and dry out a little bit...

Since Mrs. Chapin was nice enough not to protest the addition of another bike (in fact, she encouraged this acquisition), I'll happily keep some room open in the garage for her car Smile

Especially since the addition of another bike wasn't the addition of her bike.

Actually.... Its looking like the Ninja has re-entered the picture. Jess is willing to give it a shot, because its already beat up, cheap to operate (and fix), and most importantly, I have no problem painting it pink for her.

- .paul - 08-11-2006

do not lie, you know you want it to be pink, and it will just be a test run for the penis pink you will be painting the VFR
