So...yeah...its X-mas time and Jeff got a gift from a friend!

HOT SHIT! The guy (who I lived with Freshman year and rarely see) called me up and says "Hey, my Grandfather bought me a new car for Christmas so I don't need the old K-car anymore...you want it?" We are meeting up in the next day or two and doing the paperwork over lunch. Hes gifting it to me, all it needs is a new (or gutted) cat and it will be running great!

That would be the end of it normally...I would turn around a fix it and flip it for a few hundred bucks and be done with it. But...

The gears began grinding as soon as he called...a plan developed. So I have this 86 NewYorker I picked up for $50. Its a chunk of shit and I am not going to save it. So basically it becomes nothing more then a drivetrain to save for a rainy day. But, if I have an early turbo engine with a K-car harness and computers...and a really nice low mile k-wagon...I will build a 2.2L T1 wagon!! The engine from the wagon in turn will be dropped down in our Omni and Sylvia will take it to use over the rest of the winter! BRILLIANT! 3 broken cars = two working cars. The Turbo wagon..if all goes to plan...should be cheap and easy and I can sell it and hopefully make a decent profit. Turbo Wagons were never built for the general public (some were for the air force) so some TD person will give me a decent sum for a pre-converted car.

EXCITEMENT!!! This will begin in the next week or two. The NewYorker will first be stripped and all useful parts banked for later. Oh and for the haters and critics. The Daytona will not be getting done any later because of this. I have already decided to put it off until the summer. This will be a pet winter project to keep me turning wrenches and get one car gone, one car fixed, and a new one to make some dividends.

I second that. Do you need to borrow a panoramic (sp?) lens from somebody?

So, like, you really enjoy this, don't you?

Congrats; I think Wink

Well, my love for these cars has grown over the past year or two. What I like about them is I can get one or two and spend less then $200. I can tinker and play and waste time with them and then sell or part them and rarely loose any money on the deal. They are just fun cheap little cars. My Dad feels the same way some of you guys do, can't understand it. But fu$k the haters. They are my Hondas...cheap and fun...and whats better for me is not everyone has one. So anyway, you asked for it.

The current offerings... in order by year, newest first.

HAHAHAHA Yeah, I got that off of Sylvia's white trash co-worker while I was still in high school. That was the original "turbo omni." We got it for free and it was going to be the donor car for the boost! But sadly it was in worse condition then the guy said (but it still had its lights and all, I forgot to take pictures BEFORE we stripped it!) Also we never got a title to it. So I just stripped it for parts when we got the red Omni. The guy's friends wrote all over it with those wash off car pens, apparently when you let them sit for weeks on a car without clear coat they are not so "wash off."
