Changed my mind on the 265's. That size would make the speedometer read even faster and rack up miles faster than I would with a better size. They're almost 2 inches smaller in circumference than stock. 255/40/18 is ideal as far as circumference goes, but I probably want more tire than that.
Really wish these all seasons would make it until spring. Definitely don't want to drop a few thousand on wheels/tires at the moment. If I pass inspection in October, I'll make them last the winter.

Go for more caster vs camber if you are limited in strut top area. This will help a lot. You want to talk about tramlining, how about high camber, 0 toe, and 315/335 wide Hoosiers that I drove to work everyday for 2 months on...

Just took it for a spin during lunch. The car is quite loud when you step on it and you're in the high RPM's. It's pretty quiet otherwise. Definitely not going to bother anyone cruising around town.
Sounds amazing past 4k  I think what I might end up doing is welding a resonator in the stock section 1 and seeing where that gets me. It's supposed to significantly help reduce rasp since the factory section 1 only has a resonator on one of the two pipes. Did they actually purposefully design the factory exhaust to sound like shit? Seems like it.

Nice choice on those tips, wish they were available when mine was built. My Scorza has a few quality issues that I figured were there because it was one of the first ones - shame they've not perfected it yet. Looking forward to seeing it mounted and hearing It!
My ARC-8's are 18x9.5 et35 with a 12mm spacer in the rear and 275/35 R-S3's. It's a pretty tight fit even with -3 camber up front...I have no idea.how some folks run et22 up front without messing with their fenders a lot. FWIW, I don't think there's a 10mm spacer that safely keeps a wheel mounted on the hub in the rear? Re: tramlining: it's a lot worse with the 275's than it is with the 245's el cheapo no name tires on the 19's. Same offer as DJ to test fit (and street race yo) if you want.

Zero drone. It's not loud at all until you step down on it, then it's very loud. It's barely louder than the stock muffler at idle.

Fixed the fitment issues mostly. I added about 6 washers to the place where the exhaust mounts to the hanger and it's now mostly straight. I might put a few more on at some point but it's not rubbing anymore and I'm happy with it for now. Also messed with the tips some more and got them adjusted like I want with the staggered look.

Any of you northern va people know of anyone that wants to get rid of a factory section 1? I might cut the piece that links the two pipes and run two of the pipes with the resonators instead of 1 resonated and 1 non resonated like the factory setup. I'm pretty sure you can swap the pipes from side to side if you cut that link.

Ended up buying a factory section 1 exhaust off DJ so I'm going to cut the connectors on both of these and put the resonated pipe in the place of my un-resonated pipe like I described above. As far as I know, I'll probably be either the first or one of the first to run this exact setup so it's hard to tell how it will sound. I'm hoping it cuts the rasp without changing the tone much at all. I've got a music festival to go to this weekend so I guess we'll see next week.

The rasp should die down slightly and the tone will also change slightly. It's what happened to my exhaust when I added a big resonator. You'll still probably have a small amount of rasp and a bit more mellow tone. Shouldn't take away from the exhaust note overall very much though. It's hard to explain.
Here is my video for just an example of catless exhaust with stock res and magnaflow muffler: [youtube]I0YCauxdJ7Q[/youtube] After adding vibrant ultra-quiet resonator with stock res and magnaflow muffler: [youtube]JW11BPh7jrA[/youtube] Obviously your exhaust isn't going to sound anywhere near this but just to make you worry a bit less about the end product. I think you'll like it. Edit: Looks like the youtube embed is done for these forums. So I'm just going to post links instead. Looks like a YouTube side code change has messed BBCode embedded YouTube videos. From what I've been able to find on the internet, it really depends on the resonator. Adding an AR20 to the mix completely changes the tone of this same setup otherwise. That's why I'm hoping adding an extra OEM one won't change the tone much. I'm fine if it smooths the note out a little, but I don't want to lose that high pitched exotic-ish note.
At least this way it's not at all permanent and I can just throw the old pipe back on if I don't like the result.

OK, I finally got around to putting that factory section 1 resonator on the other side of my exhaust. As it turns out, the pipe isn't really a direct swap like a few people had said on the forums. It ends up being a little too long and because of that rubs up against the other pipe where they bend. I took it to an exhaust shop in Broadway (because fuck Bill's muffler) and they were able to shorten it up enough to fit fine without rubbing on the other pipe. So now I still have two of the straight pipe section 1 pieces if I ever need to throw cats on for inspections or whatever.
Anyway, onto the important part, sound. The rasp is 90% gone now. I don't have to moderate my throttle driving around town anymore to avoid the obnoxious amount of rasp that tends to show up right around 2500 rpm. That rasp is completely gone. What is still left is a little bit above 4k in high throttle conditions and to be honest, the rasp here sounds perfectly fine. It's more of a modular mustang kind of rasp than just straight rasp like it was before. The overall tone is still very good. It doesn't quite scream in the high rpm range like it used to and it's not quite as exotic sounding. Now it has more of the classic inline 6 note. It's also about 10-15% quieter. Overall, I'm happy with the sound now. The rasp is finally under control. I'll grab a video this weekend.
