Man, that's a long-standing joke (that shall never ever ever be repeated at the track, let it be known, as she and I do like each other) that started between JJ and Matt... lest you think this is some kind of original humor

I got a fun one here. Possibly looking to buy this with a very confusing CARFAX. Looks like it may have been stolen, VIN altered or changed, owner bought car tried to insure it and insurance company probably salvaged it? Seems sketchy but if it isn't a flood car I don't care. Doesn't look like it has been in a major wreck either.
The dealer said it was stolen and they don't see any signs with it being a flood car but not about to drive there on their word. Looking to see if someone will go to check the actual car out for me if they live near the dealer?
Edit: Looks like Nationwide in Florida salvaged titled it and Copart, Inc sold it.
I thought you already had a convertible? Is this for Honda Challenge?

Nationwide can't tell me about the title but agent said if it was flood it would've been reported as so. My guess is stolen or OEM parts taken from car and insurance salvaged it because how much those parts used to be worth :dunno: :dunno: . 3 owners since put ~90k miles so it must've not been wrecked too hard if it wasn't stolen.

Too bad I was just up in Raleigh. It's a little far from Charlotte for a trip up there just for that

Maybe from adding safety standpoint, yes as with any car that's $$$.
H2 limits the S2K mods wise so it isn't bad in that way. Mods in H2 for the S2K are hardtop, exhaust from the stock header back, tune, suspension, wheels/tires, pads, 500 brake rotor spares, and typical track maintenance stuff for reliability (Radiator/cooling, fluids, mounts, bushings, belts, plugs, etc...)
Or spend less and buy a 90s Civic or Integra that's built even though I don't really like the car. That's not as fun as building my own or the experience driving the S2K... I've wanted one for awhile :dunno: .
Not like I'm going racing next month I need to learn the car if I want to do well instead of buying a prepped car that I don't understand and haven't worked on. Going to be at least I assume ~2 years before I'm W2W and money right now is no object. Salvage title really does not matter once it's an H2 car. Don't think I'd ever part out to be a street car once converted.
Waste of time/money on Mazda3.
Makes decision to listen and go to more competitive class.
Race car choice too expensive.

Just trying to help here. You made the right choice to go to a more competitive class. However if you spend $8k into the base car, you will be at $20-30k before you make the first race.... A pre built GTS2/HC2/SpecE30/Spec Miata is far cheaper.

My goal it to find a built car over bought but I don't want to sit on my ass forever waiting to buy a built race car until next season lol. Rather be in the drivers seat, enjoying a car, learning, building, getting faster, etc... If it costs me several thousand 3-4 years from now oh well I guess at least I'm having fun while I can when I'm young :dunno:
I'm looking to buy in Spring-Summer timeframe. I also want to buy something I like. Was looking at RSX/FA but I think the rules are messed up with engine tuning so I'm waiting on a response there. My next choice is this S2K even though it is expensive. Next choice would be DC2 but that's pretty far down on wants. Nothing bad about the DC2/EG just would rather have something else.
Hey, you can do whatever you want!

^that car has been sold, and is now for sale again by the latest owner for ~14k?
And prob better options for an s2k out there... you really wanna deal with parting out the interior, etc? And just because the engine is factory prep doesn't mean it's any cheaper... diff, suspension, bushings.. adds up.... oh yeah, cracked rotors lol.
