i think you can build the market with main building level 3? maybe you need a granary and warehouse too

How much is the alliance pulling in through contributions? Would you consider letting everyone keep their daily resources and just let me pay for everyone? Then I could at least have a purpose. :lol:

Yeah, you could do that, if you're making enough? Most people are making their contributions, about 250 - 300 total resources from each person total - or 60 of each. I have the embassy at level 6 right now

I'll make you CFO if you do that, haha.. Romans have an especially good economy. I could probably get everyone to send a portion of their troops to your village as reinforcements, if you don't feel like making an army

well look it up and see what the rule is, otherwise I'll just make an hourly contribution to everyone in the alliance if it won't let me send that much directly to you. I just figured that'd be easier.

I might pay one of our gaul players to make me some defensive troops, we'll see. I'm going to try my Praetorians first and see how they do.

The rule is you can send one hours production every 24 hours to one person. so if you wanted to send some to everyone you could..but you'd need a pretty massive market..you get one 'cart' per level

well that's gay. Why restrict trade? Does someone actually enforce this rule? Or does the game prevent it? If I'm only allowed to send 1 hours production to 1 person, per day, why would I ever need to have more carts?

no, you can send it to as many people as you want..you cant send more than one hours to any one person

I have no idea whether it's enforced or not. I have heard other people talk about it, so I assume it must be at least brought to attention from time to time. Not sure about the troops thing either. You could always try it I suppose.

What is the best way to defend a much stronger attacker?

The same guy keeps sending 40-70 troops my way and taking my goods. I cranny is hiding 600, but that is slowing my growth. It is hard to save up resources to advance my village. There is no way I can raise a force that would be able to defend the village.

Any suggestions on how to defend?

1) send the guy a message asking him to stop - it may work..seems to be what people say on the forums

2) upgrade your cranny

3) use what resources you have to build troops. if he's not getting anything, AND losing troops..he'll probably stop

also anyone that wants to attack him go for it. I sent him a message and he won't stop attacking so get his ass. His troops (not sure if its all his troops) are on the way to my village right now and will take atleast an hour to get back. It's 2:00 right now.

edit: it looks like he is in a pretty strong alliance.

Obviously this won't work if he isn't sending them all, but I seem to have stopped the one guy that was trying to raid me for a bit. I saw him coming and built/canceled/built/canceled buildings until my resources were close to cranny level. If you have a market of course, send 'em to us instead! Then sent my few troops to raid him. His 18 troops stole just a handful of nothing, I stole a few hundred from him. He hasn't been back since.

thats actually a pretty good strategy a lot of people use. Get all your resources down, and counter. works really good if you have faster troops thatn the incoming guy
