Anyone into slow strategy games?

I've been checking around, and I'm instituting a common policy that seems to be happening in all the other alliances - once every 24 hours, I need everyone to send one hour's worth of resource production to me (so you can do it just overnight or whatever, since it's a long trip).

The reason is that the embassy is expensive as shit to upgrade, and it has to be upgraded to get more people in the alliance (you get 3 per level..and it's already maxed out). I have nowhere near the resource production to upgrade it myself. So get your markets built...

I have been destroying the guy next to me. He has two residents but lots of goods. I have attacked 9 times already. If he ever logs in again he will be pissed.

I'm not sure how much experience you've got reading handwriting but give it a shot. It's the best I can do with a Arabic derived alphabet.

Farsi would be a much better idea for learning on your own as opposed to Arabic. I don't know any grammar but a ton of Persian words from Urdu.

What kind of resources are you guys pulling in per hour? All my shit is like 35 per hour but my crop is no where near that because people keep moving into the village. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how it goes? Do I need to upgrade my resources more?

cranny is totally a n00b strategy..after you get around 30 - 40 troops I wouldnt even worry about it anymore

as for the resources, i'm pulling in 75/75/45/11

but, with raiding, i'm pulling in 1000 of each on each trip on a good raid..so I've been doing some other things too (embassy, grainery/warehouse, mill, etc)

I've been reading the forums, and they all say that crannies should really only be counted on when you have a low pop, and are getting farmed.

I'm the largest on my block, so I'm just trying to grow, not attacking much, not getting raided much. When I do build troops, I just get 'em killed before the raids pay off. As long as I can spend my resources before they go much over the capacity of my lvl 5 cranny, I don't see any purpose in building troops.

Currently 75/84/75/38 (that's with 15% extra from gold). I'm going to keep a few defensive units on hand since there's one or two people here that send a raid now and then, usually overnight. I'll keep it unprofitable for them and maybe they'll leave me alone. I'll get my market built today maybe, and if I can stay large and stable here, I'll just be a farm for you guys since I don't really feel like investing the time.

I think having troops definately does pay off. I can make in 2 hours what takes a whole day to produce.

Travis: I looked that over, and I don't think I know enough about the variants yet for each letter to be able to recognize it. The only thing I can kind of recognize is the first word on the second line, and i'm iffy on thats it, haha...looks like ya mim..sort of.

Well it deff looks like I need to upgrade my resources even farther. Luckily only one guy has tried to fuck with me (he hit me with 56 guys killing all that I had but he only stole 50 iron...cause I used almost everything else up before he got there). Havn't been touched since, inshallah.
