Had a good time Saturday catching up with old friends and meeting some new ones.

Sorry to the ones who I told I'd be at Kaan's after party. I did a bunch of arrive and drives with my brother until about 10. My gps said it was 45 minutes to Kaans house so my gf and I just went home(thought your house was much closer than what I originally assumed). Didn't want to drive home after boozing at 1 am

See you guys at Hyperfest! Can't wait Smile

Thanks for the couch space and talking me into staying. I'm 90% sure I couldn't have made it back to the interstate without running into something.

All-in-all, this was a great weekend and one I definitely needed. Can't wait until the next one!

Great great time! Weather was kinda crappy today, but overall very few (all minor) wrecks and everyone seemed to have lots of fun.

Kaan, I'm sorry we didn't make it out. We stayed for the awards party and by the time everyone was kinda ready to head over, it was 8:30 and coordinating rides just didn't happen. Rain check for a Saturday daytime shindig?

This weekend was mega motivation to have the Miata buttoned up and on track again. I drove Dan's NB to deliver lunch on Saturday and damn, I've missed it. Summit is such a Miata track.

Holy crap though, that battle between Kent and Cobetto during the thunder race today. Sooo epic down the front straight for 75% of the race. Everyone in T&S was going nuts watching it. Confusedhock:

Another great weekend. Although a little rougher on me than previous. I had a great time giving out rides and I love the enthusiasm of the new students that came out. Also got to drive Maeng's car, and was reminded just how dang nimbles those s2000s are.

The Saturday race went well, but Sunday it just was not meant to happen. Qualifying was a little slow but managed to stay ahead for Pole position for the race. In then started raining..hard. And of course I STILL don't have rains (even though it has rained every event this season!). Line up for the start of the race, and come around the pace lap. As we all look up eagerly towards the start stand, the green flag drops, and so does our foot to the floor. At first, I had thought Ron (2nd starting spot) had gotten the jump on me, but then the entire gts2 field passed me like I was standing still. Once the field had passed I could finally hear my own car at full throttle. BZZRRRRR/BRAP/BRAP, sounded like a boxer 4. Not a good sound for an inline six. I limped it around as quickly as I could to the pits, pulled in and hit the kill switch. Let the ECU reset, started her up and must have cleared the misfire code. I run back out, only to find myself one lap behind, right in front of the 2 leaders battling it out in GTS2. Realizing that I Would probably screw up their race if I tried to make a go for it, I let them by, and pulled right back in. Not worth totalling my car trying to come back from a lap deficit in the rain with dry tires.

Unfortunately, equipment errors (no rains), and issues (misfires) bit me in the butt, but the car has ran very well so far this year.

As always, track weekends are a blast. The car was feeling a little bit better every session although its still looser than I'd like it to be. The brakes were still iffy, but hopefully getting a new prop valve will clear things up.

Speaking of which, Kaan, sorry we didn't make it out to your place. Its hard to rally the troops after we've all been drinking and I was certainly not in any shape to be driving. Can you ship that prop valve to me and I'll paypal you or just hook you up next time I see you?

Awesome weekend, great weather on Saturday and a little bit on Sunday. As usual hanging at the track and meeting new people was great too.

I money-shifted the car from 3rd to 2nd in the first session Saturday, but the good ol' Honda kept on ticking. Good thing my tach stops reading at 8k RPM, because I don't want to know what I did rev it to. Luckily was able to push the clutch in quick and prevent anything (that I can tell) from blowing into pieces.

Other than that I'd have to say the instructor I had was probably one of the best I've had so far, very enthusiastic and helped me pick up some speed and confidence in places I used to hate on the track (turn 3, 9) which really helped since I haven't driven Summit in awhile. Was also a bit eye-opening when I overshot the T1 brake point that I usually hit, and when I went to get on the brake more the car showed it still had more stopping power and the driver is the one that is holding it back.

Got the nod from my instructor to sign up for Group3 and do a check-ride, but I think I might stay in 2 for HyperFizzyFest to work on some offline driving just so I'm better prepared. Now to change the axles instead of procrastinating till the week before HyperFest and the car should be good to go! That and paint my extra set of wheels something stupid just for the stunnaz at the track.

Have some video from the weekend but the dang GoPro rollbar mount was making the video look like a crackhead was filming it - have some footage of a Vette and GT3 drag racing down the front straight, as well as a ZR1 (I think) checking up in T9 and making me do the same which caused the car to come around a bit.

See you all @HyperFest -- the return of the korean ribs..!
