Scotty can clarify BUT IT SHOULD/ WILL NOT be outsourced by SOS- as for club names.... we are still indecisive on that.

It's hard to put names on the back of shirts when a whopping zero schools are cooperating and letting us know if they plan to show.

Pretty much. Oh well.

That sucks that no one is cooperating. At least we'll be there!

Yeah I vote for keeping the shirts simple and not putting the club names on since we're not sure who else is committed (and the event is next Saturday).
From what I could tell it takes 5 drivers to qualify into the scoring of the challenge (got that from Facebook) so we'll obviously make the cut. VT might make it as well because of Alumni who are also BRR-SCCA officers and a current student or two that are less show and shine and more arrive and drive.

That might actually make the battle that much more epic.

It's all good. I'll just be glad to finish destroying my tires and to eat some badass food at Julie and Rex's place.

the reason SOS did that last time was because there were gradients (color blends fading from one to another) which this design does not have - only changes in opacity. some printers can deal with it fine, others can't...i didn't know what to expect from them.

they never should have outsourced the work either. it should have come back to me and I would have altered the art file to suit their production process. they were all too happy to take you guys for a ride and knew you didn't have experience working with them to know otherwise...for current O's, don't let them do that.

will update the shirt to say 3rd....whoops!

SOS really needs to step their game up. Is it that hard to print gradients? If they have any issue as Scott said we will head back to the drawing board. We don't have the budget to outsource because of their lack of capabilities.

I agree with what Scott said but I think time was the issue last year because I remember I signed off on the order literally the last few minutes that it could have been done in time for. Like at 4:59 on the day it needed to be submitted

yeah, i mean there were other things at play but i'm just trying to let the current O's know that if they try to pull that again, to ignore it. all they do is send the file to a contract artist who charges $50 for 5 minutes of work, and then SOS marks it up from there for having to "modify" the artwork.

and yeah, its also besides the point that they should be able to handle those printing effects anyway. I've never printed through someone who doesn't have equipment to handle gradients.

whatever though. there are more important things to worry about than shirts so get'em done and have fun at the events!

I'll probably be registering for saturday. This'll be my first autocross ever. Still trying to figure out exactly which class to register for. I know my car is in G Stock but I think my mods put me in Street Modified G...not sure though

Probably SMF. I think the wastegate puts you there and without it I think you'd be in street prepared, probably DSP.

Thanks for the help guys! I expect to get my ass handed to me in this class lol. I wish i could afford hoosiers and wheels.
If I get into autocross i'd really consider parting out all those mods to race in G Stock. We'll see..

Oh and yes, I am boosting more than stock psi.
