Pretty good turnout for the event. Sadly we placed 3rd out of 4 school's for average PAX score. VT won it this year. Glad to see everyone out and hope you all had a lot of fun

Had a really fun day yesterday - big thanks as always to Ray & co. for putting on a quality event. We managed to have three drivers in my car and have things go smoothly. Christina got me in my own car (by about a second... oops) and Ryan (mine, not Herold) was able to get smooth and shave ~6 seconds off of his times from run 1 to run 4, placing not far behind some of us with experience.

Was lots of fun seeing everyone - thought the turnout of MMers both young and old was pretty solid and enjoyed giving ride-alongs/advice Big Grin

Great turnout yesterday! Glad the weather got warmer as the day progressed. I had a fun time and enjoyed watching everyone go around the course.

I was codriving the RSX. Was my first time driving that, and I will say, it was very different than my car, and I had to learn it quick. Our first runs were all over the place since our tire pressures were off,but we got that squared away and our times jumped up.

Coming from 3rd place last year by a good bit, I knew we had some work to do. Some more people showed up for VT than I originally expected, which was a pleasant surprise, but we had the right drivers in the right cars. I didn't see the results yet, so it would be hard to say if we would have still won if I were driving my car.

That being said, I really wanted to drive my car, but lack of tires and a few other things I want to get squared away held me back. I may run at the Salem event Nov. 2nd, but we'll see. Hopefully I'll be back on real tires again next season, haha.

Thanks for helping to organize the event, and great driving by everyone for some good competition!

I was standing on the door sill... we're only about an inch apart in height. Didn't realize how goofy we'd look until I saw the photo later. Oops.

Christina, on the other hand, informed me that I am too tall and have legs that are too long - she's about 3" shorter than me so that was more of a challenge!

Someone put the kibosh on the Model A, probably for good reason. The 2002 held it's own. I actually took that thing for a little run down the street and back during one of the heats I had free, with the exception that my sneakers were too wide and my shoe would get stuck between the brake pedal lever and trans tunnel if I pushed the gas pedal too hard, it was surprisingly easy to drive compared to other classics I've driven.

Despite having to wake up well before the ass-crack of dawn to get there on time, I had a blast yesterday. It was fun to go do an event on our old stomping grounds, and nice to see some old and new MM faces. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos.

Top 4 PAX scores of each school averaged up. A lot of the cars were a lot more set up for auto-x this year is what it seemed like where we didn't have that many crazy cars that were close to class maxed as others or many drivers that are experienced. Was my only 3rd time autocrossing and managed to get 5th PAX for MM in a class my car isn't all the way built for

This is why I want to drop down to STF as I'd be basically maxed in that class and once I actually get the car right not 3 inches lower than stock like it sits now it would be perfect + slightly better tires + driver mod. Ran a 68.083 but under-steered on loose gravel and hit a cone:

STF - Pax: 0.801

It's actually an 06 rsx.. they stopped making them in 2006. I just guessed at the year, haha. STF has such a ridiculous PAX, I always refer to it as a "handicapped class." RAW vs PAX times speak for themselves.

I'm not sure how often Jordan plans on going to events, but he usually runs PAX class. He also knows that car, unlike me, and ran a 65.9. So you have some catching up to do... nothing that seems too far out of reach, though  I usually run STX with my frs, and still have some more prep work I'd like to do for next season. So I'm not sure how much competition you'll get in STF, Ryan. Even in STX it's been just me at some events, 5 at others. It's not a terribly popular class in this region.

Will you be around next year? I'm curious to see how you'll stack up with a better prepped car (provided you get to doing that) and some more experience. That car handled much better than I originally anticipated.
