no way Id give the guy his warranty. but I think you should give him his deposit back if he asks for it. you dont HAVE to, but he put down the deposit when it was a solid running car. (well, as much as you can pretend any DSM is a solid running car)
and yeah, he is going to use this to lower the price. also increases the chance he will flake. i say move along and find a new buyer

ill see what happens, and if this guy calms down, there is another guy who will be in Richmond the 9th who was interested, if he still is ill tell the guy from PA to go to hell and take a $300 hit on my asking price just not to deal with him.

If the bill of sale clearly states the car is sold as is with no warranty, he has nothing to stand on.

Fix the car, offer it up to him and offer again to drive and meet him halfway - and if he flakes he loses his deposit. He's still buying a 12 year old car thats been modified.

he does want the car, but is trying to get me to do this whole warrant thing which was not in a signed bill of sale, again im going to fix it, and offer it up, if he doesnt want it even after its fixed. Im more than likely keeping hsi $500.

f'ing miserable. sorry you had to deal with it. sounds like an awful night.

just so you know [and i think i've made it pretty clear], but the hatch is pretty much in the same boat (not driven more than 100 miles in the past year). then again, i don't hate you and would be happy to work with ya on anything that arises... so i guess we're a different case. i'll continue to try staving off my landlord from towing the pile.

dj, get me my seat so i can get this bitch in running shape for this man!

also gives me a good amount of time to retitle (i've owned the car so long i gave my dad the title for safekeeping [i was young]... turns out he wasn't too safe with it) and get it inspected... will be visiting dmv tomorrow.

they put a notice on it after it hadn't moved for about a year. i responded to the notice, got the registration up-to-date, but it's got a stale inspection and no driver's seat.... it's looking ripe for a tow, but i think it was more of a feeler by them to see if the car had been abandoned.

Damn, what a shitty day. Sorry to hear about all the fuel issues. Sounds like the E30 only yours gave out completely...

As far as the buyer goes, I'd fix the fuel pump and let him know once the car is running fine. No warranty, that's just going to open up a host of problems. The car is sold as-is, where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Make him sign to that on the bill of sale.

yea he already signed a bill of sale stating that, but i will have him sign a new one upon fixing the fule pump if he still wants it.

yep i sent it to him and he signed it, I mostly did it to cover me for the non refundable deposit. But he signed it saying hed buy the car without inspecting it and if it isnt picked up in 10 days or arranged to be picked up in 10 days, its back up for sale.

First of all, keep the deposit, consider it money for towing the bitch back to your house :lol: Its yours, and although its a dick move, he did it. Ive dealt with such slimeballs over and over again that I have no respect anymore for people that pull that shit.

Yeah I was supposed to pull it out las tnight and get it over to you, but then Justin broke down and needed all my shit. Justin should borrow his saab, bring my denali back up, throw the civic on the trailer and tow it back down with the saab. That is, if he is really worried about anything with driving the civic.

I dont mind him borrowing my trailer as long as I get it back before hyperfizzy.
