glad to see such a good turn out of current students to work this cold and rainy weekend. while driving and instructing is pretty fun, a track weekend isnt nearly as fun without good friends there. and good work getting the MM van. it was "BAWLIN!" what the hell was JMU thinking giving their car club a rental van?

and a side note, hey andy, ya know how we've been saying how fat people really love to eat? chris gave me back those travel guides on japan and he accidentally left a business card bookmarking the "Eating" section, lol! oh yeah, and you owe me $70.

fuck i'm tired! what a great weekend! again, it was awesome seeing everyone.

now that i have the feeling back in my feet, wish i could have seen you guys a lil more, it was definitely a good/wet/nasty/sucky weekend. But today was worth it, got to do some flagging and see some carnage @ station 6. Luckily it wasn't any of you fools. Now, time to write my paper thats due at 2:30 that i should have done instead of going to the track, but yea not gonna happen.

Good times, that was fun. As others pretty much summed up, the weather was terrible the whole weekend but I still enjoyed being up close to the action and seeing everyone again. I'm sure I'll give flagging another try when I'm certain the weather will be more agreeable. I have a lot of pics I have to go through but I'll post those up in a day or two 8)

Chris Wrote:ouch sorry to see that. which turn did that happen in? is it cosmetic, or were parts broken?
coming into the braking zone for oak tree there was oil down from the session before. There was oil dri down, but it didnt cover all of the oil. (i was not even close to the oil dri) Went for the brakes and had absolutely nothing. went for a ride into the tires. I pitched the car sideways at the end so I didnt take a front end hit.
The fender is toast obviously, the door needs a little massaging but still should be good. Not sure on the suspension. All together not too bad.
Could have banged the fender out and raced but I wasnt much in the mood to race. It was a harder hit than i thought, my neck is sore today.

Other than that, the weekend was an absolute blast. vandalizing the MM bangbus, Tittybugs. And where are the pics?!!!!

What card was it? My wife was in charge of the books and I don't even think she took one of them.

I asked Andy twice if he wanted me to bring my V1 and he declined. This'll learn him.

The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

We passed you guys pulled over. I tried to call and see if you guys were broke down or just in violation of DWA laws, but Andy's phone was off.

Andy won't say so, but it was probably for the better.

I think we hydroplaned more on the way home than I did in Sunday's race on Hoosier drys.

Quit being a bitch. I hydroplaned a few times on track and that was way worse.

You wouldn't be saying that if, when we crashed into a tree, the bolt holding the belt buckle snapped and there was a large caucasian missile bouncing around in that small cabin.

Saving me the trouble of selling the car and killing you in one shot would've made my day.

Evan was on fire this weekend! If he hadn't goofed at NASCAR Bend, I think he and I could have hooked up and pushed back to the front on Saturday (I had a Brain Fart at Oak Tree when I was in the lead and ended up behind Evan in 4th.). On Sunday in Qualifying he just got a bit too close to that Oil that had flowed down from the Oil Dry that was placed out there.

His car will be back together with parts available at my garage at the track.

FWIW, Evan was hanging tough with Pro Driver Nick Leverone in a very well prepped 99 Miata. Made me proud to have him as a teammate!
