Its together. It shifts. The interlock shaft on the change holder was popping out of its hole (insert DP on maeng's mom joke) when I tried to line it up to get the case on as well. Now that it goes together and it shifts, I still need to pull the case halves apart and seal it up, but its ready to rock.
Who wants to come over and help me install this thing?

Its only as hard as you make it
With the service manual, some patience/concentration and little bit of meth its really not that hard.

Just wait until I get to rebuild an automatic
My two feet.
Bolted up and the fucking input shaft wont turn.
Ugh. I'm gonna launch it out of my garage pretty soon.

its a case of not reading the manual and checking clearances - i'm about to pull it apart again and "clearance" the input shaft shim in a way the helms does not describe

Well, shit.
I got home from work pretty early so I decide to start a little wrenching. Moved the mounts/brackets/etc onto the "new" tranny and bolt the flywheel and clutch up and then i realized.... the new flywheel/clutch combo takes 9 bolts. The stock one was 6.
So that came to a halt. I gotta find me some bolts now.

Sucess. She's not off jackstands yet, but I ran it through the gears up to about 60mph and it shifts good, no funny noises, clutch works fine.
