Either that or build a racekar. Integra RS for HC/ITA, Spec Miata, or just a fun track whore....

b00sted miata?

haha, to the bold

why does that dyno chart on the h-t link not have numbers for the y-axis?

i think both of those hatches are pretty nice. IMO i think you can be just as fast as the R (if not faster) with a reduced insurance and a tow truck. You're choice, the aarrrRR is more appealing IMO.

back to winter projects. I think i'm just going to do some maintenance to the SI:

-oil/filter change
-bleed clutch
-coolant flush
-put winter set on the car / store all-seasons
-ball joints need to be replaced

GTI:
-change oil/filter
-clean inside and out

i can't really do too much without the income and since i don't really have much income i can't really do anything...damn school, i can't wait to graduate and get a constantly paying job

he didn't want to share the exact numbers to the world.

yep

until you have to pay for it.

i think it is a no brainer that he should be driving something other than the R.

took the summer wheels/tires off and put the stockers back on. i can't tell you guys how amazing it is to put lighter wheels and tires on a car. despite the cornering grip my 17's give me, i didn't realize how much acceleration and braking speed i lost when i put that weight on.

friends don't let friends put heavy wheels on their cars!

But my heavy wheels Bling...17in Chrome is a magical thing. I'm back to stock 16in Alum. on the Sebring and it handles much worse. But I must say, at least I can burn out at a stop light now...

alright you rapscallions. bumped for '06 in light of some tasty "project" threads and chilly weather.

so what's on the menu for you guys?

for me, not much cookin:
- look into relubing control arm ball joints somehow
- refit boost gauge with better line and get rid of buzz
- maybe a cool part or two now that i'm friends with a co-worker who has his own CNC machine

one thing i recently got after a scare on the highway:

270mm broadway mirror, love it. the perspective is weird (i feel like i'm driving a school bus with that bigass mirror in the front that the driver looks at to see what kids are causing a rucus) but it's already paid off in my mind.

Next year the main focus will be saving for track time...Over the winter, I will finish all of my projects that I have sitting around. I got into an accident 3 weeks ago and bent my front radiator support and everything up front, so its been an expensive and time-consuming project getting this thing back together.

List of projects that I have parts, just need to put on and tune
1. Aluminum Radiator
2. 13x4x2 Oil Cooler
3. Carbon Fiber Hood with (maybe?!) Carbon Trix Vent
4. Ducting with the new front bumper
5. Battery Relocation to the rear
6. Front 4-piston Brembos with 13-inch rotors
7. Rear 2 piston Brembos with 12.3 rotors
8. Magnus Intake Manifold
9. Remove A/C Compressor as AC condensor got smashed so I had to remove that
10. Tune my dsmlink setup to work better with GM MAF
11. Actually tune for my Big(ha!)16g
12. Figure out how to work my AVC-R.
13. Install harness

Then the stuff I want or need to do over the winter
- 4-wheel alignment
- Some type of coilovers
- 17x9 with 245/40/17s
- Roll Fenders
- Save for the track events

Anybody got any suggestions? I have dozens of autocross experience but my track knowledge is limited to two 30 minute sessions.

Parts on order-

Synchros, seals, (TRD LSD. Pray that North Korea doesn't start a war thereby slowing the shipping down further. They are shipping by boat so I have to wait 3 months for this thing.)

Kosei K-1's

Parts I will eventually order-

Send used Konis to get revalved.
Tein Camber plates
Full Race's Tension rods which will eliminate all of the poly bushings in the front end.
Full Race's traction rods which will eliminate all of the poly bushings in the rear end.

The rest will be saved for serious tracktime. Assuming no mechanical failures next season, I want to do 10 track weekends.

SE-R: rust removal on top, cheap paint project, sell
240(s?): ????
supra: clean up exterior a bit with some buffing and such, VIR in February???
truck: replace fenders, new tires, initial maintenances, paint and get looking good, replace with quieter exhaust, install tow hitch

I'm also aiming to do a lot of events next year, so my goal is to be capable of towing the car to the track and have a car that is reliable and fun.

Sorry you have to do that. I know it meant a lot to you. On the other hand, you'll be able to get on the track a lot sooner and a lot cheaper.
