Keep working on the Z. At the moment, it needs the following: Odometer repaired Turbo timer installed Headlights/fogs re-aimed Exhaust swapped out Remove mid-pipes and down-pipes, check turbos for shaft play (maybe a turbo replacement if I'm not happy...) VR-4 brake kit As for the Lightning: Complete service, all fluids, filters, pcv, etc... Fix air conditioning Possibly replace rear-end Dirtbike: Repair handlebars and brake-lever Repair shifter General clean-up and maintenance as necessary - JohnC - 12-08-2004 Oh, and the Subaru is getting winter tires mounted as soon as I can make it to the shop... - white_2kgt - 12-08-2004 ![]() ![]() --chad - Andy - 12-08-2004 Mongooze - Don't you have to pull the motor in order to swap turbos? white_2kgt - Please do a how-to on the conversion. That would be really interesting. - ViPER1313 - 12-08-2004 Starting Saturday I'm installing a new clutch / pressure plate / throwout bearing on the SHO - it's gonna be a blast .
- CaptainHenreh - 12-08-2004 mongooze Wrote:My list isn't just for Christmas break - it covers the whole winter season... 17" Wheels too, then? - Andy - 12-08-2004 If the Lude doesn't get sold, I will put the GSR ECU w/Hondata + bigger Cams I have on order. Plus attempting to purchase a second hand SMSP header. - Chris - 12-08-2004 general maintenance and fluids check out drum brakes and prob replace pads buy extra set of front rotors as backups figure out what the strange sound is in the steering at low speeds backing out of parking spaces- prob the bushings on the steering tie arms oh and a little project I have planned, but won't be announced unless it works  - white_2kgt - 12-08-2004 jackstands Wrote:white_2kgt - Please do a how-to on the conversion. That would be really interesting. Jack up car, unbolt bolts, wack self in nose w/ pry bar (still hurts btw), drop trans on floor (and foot), curse, go in house and call pete, wait for him to arrive (ahem!). There done. haha How-To and many more pics are here, http://www.2kgt.com/item.php?itemid=105 It should be pretty easy, biggest thing is finding all the parts needed for the swap. --chad - white_2kgt - 12-08-2004 Chris Wrote:oh and a little project I have planned, but won't be announced unless it works  ![]() w00t! electric supercharger! --chad - Chris - 12-08-2004 HAH! everyone wanting me to add more power... silly fools. - ViPER1313 - 12-08-2004 white_2kgt Wrote:Chris Wrote:oh and a little project I have planned, but won't be announced unless it works  Do those things really work??? And wouldn't they restrict airflow when switched off? - Mike - 12-08-2004 ViPER1313 Wrote:Do those things really work??? And wouldn't they restrict airflow when switched off? no, they don't really work. - JohnC - 12-08-2004 jackstands Wrote:Mongooze - Don't you have to pull the motor in order to swap turbos? Yes. Hence why I'd rather pull the downpipes and see before getting any stupid ideas... - CaptainHenreh - 12-08-2004 Main project: Complete the Supra. This includes not only putting it all back together, but getting the tach and temp gauge working, running my boost and oil pressure gauges, figuring out an EGT gauge, and talking dad into helping me fab up an honest-to-god 3" exhaust with a pre-cat dump and a non-shitty Y-pipe. After that's finished, I need to determine the Ultimate Fate of the Volvo, and go destroy some rubber. - JohnC - 12-08-2004 CaptainHenreh Wrote:mongooze Wrote:My list isn't just for Christmas break - it covers the whole winter season... No. The VR-4 kit is fits under the stock wheels with a 15mm spacer. And it's inexpensive. That's why I'm going with that kit rather than one of the larger and more expensive setups - initial cost is less and I get to keep the stock wheels (and cheaper tires too!). - white_2kgt - 12-09-2004 mongooze Wrote:CaptainHenreh Wrote:mongooze Wrote:My list isn't just for Christmas break - it covers the whole winter season... wuss --chad - JackoliciousLegs - 12-09-2004 - Re-plastip the door trim. - repaint my rusty wipers - change my darn earl |
