Can I call a spot? I can bring my own air mattress and such if need be.
Also have a friend from home here who is registered for the autocross, not sure if he wants to drive down day-of or the afternoon prior. I can check but would you mind if he crashed as well?
You are always welcome to stay Jake! I still have my air mattress ready to go. Your friend is welcome to stay. Though you might bring that air mattress so he doesn't have to sleep on my couch.

We want to go on a cruise on Saturday, but we need something other than 33. They've been doing road work up there for a while and it wouldn't be wise to go.

The road work is awful, went up there this last Friday, and gravel everywhere. Maybe an alumni could lead one of the good ol' OG routes?

Heh, the "OG route" that I know of is 33. I used to do a run involving part of 42 and 11 that was pretty nice. Not sure where else, it's been a few years since that Not sure when I'm getting to town yet on Saturday - y'all make plans pre-dinner without me and I'll see how timing looks.

Hey guys so I'm in need of a little guidance wth registration. Stuff like what class and such for my car. This will be my first autocross and I'm looking forward to it but just lack some knowledge about the details. My car is an 86 camaro with a stock tuned ls1 and 4l60e from a 2002 teams am, I have suspension parts such as lca, relocation brackets, tubular panhard bars, new shocks and springs(oe replacements), subframe connectors and I'm sure other stuff that I'm forgetting.
Any guidance is helpful
Thanks

Probably some variant of Street Prepared, since the motor swap is from the same manufacturer as the car. I think F Stock is where it sits with no modifications so FSP would be the next step.
Have someone who knows more about SCCA classing than I do verify that, though.

If we can't figure it out I can just register at the event and let them help me get situated

 Oh Hai...
Maybe Ray can comment but I bet it fits best in CAM. Don't know too much about CAM (new class not nationally recognized)
A car does not go FS -> FSP. In fact most FS cars go ESP. Yes whacky
Edit: Just read it all, engine swaps and subframe connectors? Go straight to SM/Prepared class (no street prepared). Because it is a muscle car though I think it can be in CAM which has wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better Pax if BRR recognizes CAM.

Thanks DJ I knew someone would have a clue.

CAM would be the best choice. CAM is basically American iron, 3200 lb minimum, full interior, on street tires. Heck the rules are so permissive that even murder might be legal in CAM class BRR offers CAM class.

 Touche. I guess I shouldn't wreck my brand new race car at its first weekend. Has to be ready for VIR in 3 weeks.
Anyone coming from NOVA that can transport 4x 335/30/18 tires? Someone is buying them down at Verona and I can't make it anymore.

Had a helluva time putting a non-OE valve cover gasket on last week that I either set poorly or non-OE sucks. Anyway, getting an OE one today, and if I can stop the nasty leak, I'll mount up the ancient RS3's I thought I was going to cord last year and do my only motorsports event of the year at this thing.
