I had something similar happen sophomore year. Drove the Miata to campus and it was fine, driving home (literally right before a two-hour trip) and the heater hoses that connect to the firewall burst. Coolant everywhere. I limped it home and then across town to good ol' Bob Wade. They got me fixed up but I had to leave the car and use a roommates' for my trip.

The Miata is notorious for shitty radiators that get old and brittle and crack. I found an aluminum one for like $115 and it's been a champ. Got new hoses on there too.

Nothing that worthwhile, just stopped being lazy and actually did a real detail since it was so nice today. Washed with dish soap, clayed, used a pretty weak compound then polished and waxed. Took a good amount of hours in total and I did it all by hand so of course my wrist is stiff and my arm is a little tired. Of course my sisters camera is awful so it looks bad but it's all I got, tried to get an okay picture out of it since I was running out of light. This is also before I got a chance to put a coat of wax on. Thanks to Dan for the great writeup's and tips!

Yeah, there are a few small dings and small rock chips which are almost impossible to avoid for a car this age. For the most part it is in great shape though.
