NASA at VIR, March 26-28, who's in?

Just a heads-up, cool news! Two reporters from The Breeze are coming down on Saturday to do a video story on our club and what we do on our own and with NASA.

They are hoping to get some interviews and face time with students and alumni from MM. I know the day is ├╝ber busy but if a few people could break away for 5 minutes and chat, it would be awesome.

Hoping this story will go a ways toward promoting MM with the JMU and Harrisonburg communities. I appreciate everyones' help in advance.

My dad might come down to hang out either Saturday or Sunday. Apparently the shower at home decided to stop being water tight, so he decided to rip all the tile out and fix it. hock: Good luck with that dad.

For you MMers that want to work grid, get with me sometime this weekend. There's typically only one or two available spots for grid each weekend since I've got a pretty regular staff now, but I want to give y'all the chance to work so let's see what we can work out.

That's awesome about the reporters too, let's really impress them, I'm putting one of you in charge of getting them to the grid so we can get them a ride.

Yeah, I'll be there friday for the instructor school, but won't be instructing or running this weekend. I'll hang around for a bit sat morn to say hi, and try to find some tires, but will be gone by noon. Gotta get home for Matlock and prune juice!

Wish I could come down for this, got work both days. Awesome news on the reporter bit - took long enough for them to come around, I seriously don't think there is a club at JMU that is 1/10th as badass as us.

Just an FYI, I have the NASA WOTY plaque. I snagged it to try and get it displayed at JMU (thinking they had a trophy case for stuff) but to no avail. Let me know if anyone needs it. Definitely belongs with Rex/Julie/Peter/Matt etc., so maybe someone can pass it along to them

Ugh, what a weekend. Much colder then expected, and the rain on Sunday didn't help out one bit. Still, any weekend at the track is a good weekend IMO. Hopefully all the MM cornerworkers that came in after lunch on Sunday enjoyed their rides. I did get a few photos with my new camera of Channing on track and the MMer in the yellow M3.

Definitely a great time. It was cold and rainy, but the beer helped. Had a good time talking to you guys at the MidAtlantic Motorwerks/VBD Party. Good seeing some of you back a second time. Lets make April a 3rd time if possible. That one's closer.

I had a blast this weekend and I know those who came with me did as well. The van was returned successfully when we got back. BIG thanks to Laura and Matt Leech for working with me on Saturday regarding the Breeze reporters. I had a great time working grid and seeing things from a different angle. The rain made things interesting to watch on Sunday.

We may make it up to Summit on the 17/18 weekend in April, but there is also a car show at ODU on the 17th, and an autocross on the 18th. Gonna be a group vote on Wednesday at the meeting I guess... or we'll send people everywhere. We will see. Thanks as always to you alumni for the support in getting us out with NASA. Always a great time when we go.
