I really hope you like it and that you find satisfaction in the project.
I guess my real problem is that there are so many other cool cars made in the past 20 years that I would rather buy. For the record, I still don't understand why anyone would willingly buy an 18 y/o economy car with 108hp that pulled .81g on the skidpad when it was new. 1991 was a long time ago - I would bet that stock for stock, a 6 to 7 y/o Ford Focus would kill that CRX in almost every performance measure and could be had for the same price.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

It's what he likes. No one (well no one should anyway) gets on you about the cars you choose to drive because truth be told there are plenty of cars for the same money that are better. To each his own.
There is something to be said though for opening up your criteria and considering cars maybe you wouldn't have.

Come on G, you know there is no other car, that you can get 5 of in running condition for $500 other than an SHO.

I dont understand why anyone would subject themselves to owning a SHO and a DSM at the SAME TIME
To each his own.... CRX's are great cars and can be a lot of fun. Just not this one.

There is something to be said though for opening up your criteria and considering cars maybe you wouldn't have. Every car that I have ever bought has been the top of the heap for my criteria for the bottom dollar..... I would drive a Daewoo if Daewoo was making the most competitive car in a given segment. Brand really means nothing to me, and so far as my experience shows means nothing so far as reliability, fuel economy or fun to drive is concerned either.
So ask yourself - would you spend $2000 on a 1991 Geo Storm or Hyundai Scope or Mitsubishi Mirage or Toyota Celica? Why is it any more logical to spend that on a Honda?

"You don't buy these cars with your head, you buy them with your heart because you love them" - Jeremy Clarkson
Its what he wants, what he likes.
Emphasis on the "he"
Its not so much what it is...I'm as guilty as any of us for liking weird shit. Its the fact that it is a huge amount of money for a poor condition example. We make our comments out of love not hate. I would hope you guys wouldn't smack me around for buying a rusty TD...but I would expect you to tell me if I am paying way to much and ignoring logic while saying "it will work out" and bending over cash in hand.

 i would obviously give a buyer an option on them. seats are not really a "mod" in that sense. they hold their value and are easily removed. you want them? cool, you'll pay for them. don't? cool, i'll put in stockers and reduce the price accordingly. as it sits in my driveway, it's worth a bit more than double this crx. that's all i'm sayin'.
when's the last time you saw someone throw in some volks for free? they're just like that.

FTFY.
He could still do his paintwork and wheels and whatever he wants to do, except he starts with a much better platform, working engine, no rust, new suspension etc. etc. for $600 more lol.

if you go down, he says he wants $3500 for it now... so is the $2600 his "newest" price?
