Did anyone catch Tuner Transformation last night? They featured a 2002 Mazda Miata. They made it a very capable Solo2 car. Added a Tien suspension, electronic damping, new clutch, and roll cage. Discuss if you saw it.

Their budget was $5,000 but they spent over $13,000!!!! :o

the only one i've seen of this was the neon srt-4 (blue) and they did pretty nice mods with the exception of the huge wing.

Yeah, but they "only" gained 4 seconds on the autox course, even though they put the car into SM2 with the blower, and RA1s. So as far as being a useful autocross car, they may have made it worse. But shit, I'd love to give them a Miata if they wanna put $13K worth of go-fast shit in it!

What pissed me off though, was the douchebag with the backwards hat saying wonderful things like
"you still can't change the fact that all these cars have ovaries"
"john why are you holding your hand like that" "my gay-dar sense is tingling, beep beep beep. it's a shemale car, that's what the miata is. you've got issues with your testosterone if you're driving this thing"

It'll be more than a 4 second gain once they get used to the new feel of the suspension and new found power.

I finally watched the episiode with the SRT-4...and all I can say to those of you who complained about a lack of information is

shut the fuck up and watch it again. Yes the show was stupid. Yes the girl at the end wanted to make me strangle myself. Yes the two guys who host the show could be a little more heterosexual. But no, you don't have a right to complain because they touched on every item put into the car and Ben from AGP explained the reasoning behind the parts selected.

Performance end result...well, Check.

The SRT-4 project pissed me off because Mopar has an entire line of factory supported upgrades, and none of them require a gay-ass log-style manifold to "clear the firewall". Why didn't TT use something like that? Something that wouldn't void the crap out of the warranty.

I won't even discuss the "Ok, we're going to install the engine now....there, it's done!" of the 240sx/Silvia Widebody Dorifto Insane Crazy Race Down Akina Mountain Episode.

The Miata was pretty cool. I saw that last night.

In the end, it's not as bad as Nopi Tardvision.

Great show. It doesn't go into specifics on car mechanicals, but show cases many of the cars we wish we could have. Also the drivers obviously know how to drive a car, as opposed to somebody like Kaazer on that other crappy car show.
