That is just the way Porsche seems to be going with their race cars. I love me a turbo, don't get me wrong.

Why so much hate on having nice things? What does it really matter if the car has a nice NAV system, A/C, and power goodies? There is nothing at all wrong with that. I don't give a crap what it is, a GT3 or a Neon, if I am in it I want leather, a good stereo, and some f'in power windows. Also, after thinking about it, why in the hell does wanting to have a nice looking car make your penis small? It seems like every time someone does something to improve the image of their car all the MM pro racers bring out the hate. What exactly is the problem with buying a GT3 to go back and forth from the country club? I'm down with that. I think its stupid to hold a person to your standards with something like this, don't shit talk someone who might want a car for a different reason then you, and using it in a way you wouldn't. Sounds like envy to me. Anyways, nice car. I'd rock it, but I would add ze boost!

Oh my god Jeff... The GT3 was made to be a no-frills fucking fast car, that is its MO. When you add navigation it suddenly loses sight of what it is supposed to be.

Its about being true to the ideals that Porsche, and more importantly the GT3 stands for. If you want something to pimp with on the way to the country club there are several other models of 911 for you to choose from but don't mess up the GT3. I'd be just as mad if Honda made a Type-R with leather and power seats.
I suppose its a tough balance for Porsche because they do have to make concessions to luxury in addition to providing prodigious performance, but again, that's what the other 911's are for.
Anyway, its sort of sacrilegious. Kinda like if Chevy brought back the Camaro and made it a 4 cylinder.

But I agree. Porsche should have a top-of-the-line 911 for rich old farts. Call it the Uber911 or some crazy shit, and leave the GT3 for racers.
