Hmm... AWD lets you get away with some things that are just plain dumb. It's remarkable how much you can throw the car and let the driveline recover it.

If it's oversteering, floor it. If it's understeering, lift then floor it.

Given the nifty differentials and fast throttle response in the STi, if you're hands are quick enough on corrections, you can floor it and let the computer drag you out of darn near anything. It's like playing Gran Turismo. Floor it, hang on and scream "wheee!!!!"
That said, I think I drive AWD cars the worst of any driveline configuration. RWD and FWD just make sense to me. I'm just weird like that...

As for big wheels... when I was little, I used to live on a really steep paved driveway. Take a hose, stick it at the top of the driveway to wet down the whole thing, drag the big wheel to the top and do 360s the whole way down. Yes, 16 year old big brothers are a bad influence on their 4 year old little brothers...

I always wanted one of those Power Wheels, but never got one =(

A friend of mine through a Subaru club bought one of his daughters a Barbie pink Power Wheels Jeep. That thing was freakin tight! One day I came over and he was like "d00d check it out, I modded Haley's Jeep." He like bored out the throttle lever so that it would go further than it normally does and the thing could peel wheels!! lol!

If you've ever been to any of the Richmond Subaru meets... you might've met Crazy Scott. We call him Crazy Scott for a reason. He's got a low 11-second Buick Grand National and what should be a mid-low 10-second WRX shortly. He just finished building up an EJ22 that should be taking 35psi boost through a HUGE turbo with nitrous, alcohol-injection and a propane chiller setup. He also has a pocket bike that he installed some spanish 50cc race motor in, then did a big-bore kit and ported the hell out of the it. Does 103mph. We call him Crazy Scott for a reason...

Amongst other things, he hotrodded his kids' Power Wheels. Rewound the motors, custom-cut metal gears and installed heatsinks in the motors. Stock=9 volts... they now run 40 volts. He put some sort of sticky tires on it and apparently it DOES launch hard enough to flip over backwards.

I had a big wheel that was awesome. Had a BigFoot Power Wheels truck that when i broke it one of the kids down the street tried to put a gas motor on it and melted many things. Mt. Dew is my 87 Octane for life. As you can tell by my name.
