wow, I'm really surprised they would rather you send the whole thing back instead of just sending you the correct tap in the mail. That would cost them like $5 to get it to you and back and it'd be faster. :?: Sucks they felt they had to be defensive about something that can be solved so easily.

Well, OPM got my diff on tuesday.... I even called them to make sure they got it. I called them today to ask where it is, and the lady on the phone had no idea and said Tom is at the track and she'll try to find out. Which likely means it hasnt gone anywhere and it hasnt been touched.

FUCK OPM

I am never doing business with those assholes again.

I got a phone call from them monday afternoon, they tried to tell me the diff did not arrive until thursday night and Tom was at the track thurs, fri, sat. However, it arrived tuesday afternoon, AND I called them wed morning to verify they received it. Assholes. This means another track weekend with the craptastic stock one-wheel-wonder, crappy geared transmission.

But, supposedly, the diff is en route. I had to remind the girl on the phone 3 times to not forget BOTH my ring gears that they have. I might get it wednesday, and I may assemble the tranny, but there's no way in hell I'll have time and/or motivation to install it the night before leaving for the track.

Fuck OPM

I guess I never posted the resolution to this.... I got the diff back last week, and Tom put all new ring gear bolts in the diff to replace the ones that were kind of chewed up and called me wednesday to make sure I got it and tell me all that happened. At least thats good.....

So, finally:

I put everything back together tonight, but ran into a snag produced by my own stupidity. I put the reverse idler gear in upside down, and when i put the case together and tried to shift it, it would hang up and not engage anything. Took quite a while to figure out wtf I did with that. At any rate, I fixed that and I'll finish assembling it tomorrow - hopefully have it in before RA Smile
