(going to give the pepboys ceramics a try) car is going to be down for quite a while, probably wont be driving VIR in feb

evan, word of advice... replace both rear calipers at the same time... if one is going bad it won't be long before the other does.

-replace RR caliper (preventative)
-install new clutch and flywheel (been sitting in box for months) -get all-seasons mounted on si wheel (tires arrived last week) -get azenis mounted on 15x7 wheel (wheels to be purchased) -flush tranny fluid w/ gm syncromesh -swap out racing battery (doesn't like the cold) -install e-brake cables (been sitting around for months, need some small parts) -install harnesses and seats (to be bought) -install header (been sitting around) -swap front brake pads (don't feel like getting integra brakes on since the first few events will be cold enough that i won't need them, but my pads are shot)

ScottyB Wrote:Ryan T Wrote:Installed exhaust (twas a daunting task but it got done) It is surprisingly quiet. You can't hear it (from inside the car) on interstate. Driving around town its pretty tame unless you get on the gas. If your hard into it it can be loud. For regular driving rpm's its good, but once you get above about 4k it really screams. Overall, its a lot quieter than I expected from 3.5" piping. I love it. Pics coming as soon as I can get the camera to work.

Add to my project list for the Z:
Fuel pump All bushings (forgot I had the poly pieces sitting in a box) Hood prop grommet and hood stops (should be a 4-5 hour job at the least )Remove from the list: Cat-back exhaust Finished the cat-back install yesterday afternoon. Now I need to buy new metal snips, long-handled needle nose pliers, and some more drill bits to replace the broken ones  Stupid bolt needed a LOT of persuading to come loose...

I need lighter, cheaper to operate, faster, and cheaper to replace when I hit the inside wall @ Road Atlanta's Turn 12.
Either that or build a racekar. Integra RS for HC/ITA, Spec Miata, or just a fun track whore.... http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1085154 http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1083451 b00sted miata? |
