My friend ran a Celica with 0 oil in it and sheared the connecting rod from the crank... And still drove it home.

Dude you seriously are the biggest fanboy of whatever make you currently own. If you rode a bike to work you'd go out and buy a full Huffy Outfit and would disown motorized vehicles.

The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. Mike over the years:

College days: I can't stand the interior of American cars! The EG Civic is obviously the peak of interior design.

2 years ago: How can you peasants live without memory seats? Audi has all this shit on lock.

Now: The RAV4 is fantastic, who needs anything more.

If Mike was homeless and drove a shopping cart, a shopping cart would be the only method of transport anyone ever needed, because.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I like ragging on Mikey Rulz as much as the next guy... but in Mike's defense, the memory seats was his wife and the RAV4 is from his mom who is no longer living.

Did I just defend Mike? WTF is happening to me??

P.S. - You missed the GTI years.

american cars still have turd interiors.

memory seats? yeah, that was my ex-wife.

to be clear, i fully understand folks wanting more than a RAV4. it's not exactly an enthralling experience, but it's great at what it does, and what it does is all and exactly what i need right now. i think y'all are pulling a bit hard trying to get mileage out of this one.

VWVortex had (or is still having) a collective shitfit about that. Lots of people came storming home from the dealership and ripped the cowls out of their cars so they could unplug or remove the speaker as soon as possible, because fake=bad.

Doesn't bother me a bit. I've pretty much left my car in "Sport" since I bought it. :dunno:

EDIT: Does "Drive System" have any noticeable effect on the car? I don't think mine has that.

I have yet to test it.... because... city commuter. 10 days, 57 miles!

I need to take a drive 30 min north this weekend. Hopefully I can stretch its legs then.

P.S. - The seat is really messing with my bum back, I think. It's either the bolsters digging into my ribs, the coughing from pneumonia, or both that has triggered some annoying ass spasms. Do not like. I'm hoping they break in.... and I lose some weight.

- - - - NOW WITH MORE FABULOUSNESS - - - -

These were taken at 5:15 pm on a very rainy day (yes, in Seattle). I'd say that means it looks darker than it really is, but I'm not sure that's an accurate statement. At the least, it's darker than it would be on a sunny day. I'll snap another pic when the sun comes out... next week.

I honestly don't know how people go around without it. It's been the first thing I've done on pretty much every car I've owned, except the Saab. I guess that tells me all I need to know about my brief ownership of that car. Maybe now I plastidip something?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm seriously considering replacing the red side mirror caps with carbon fiber.
