Take a few hours to make the design for the other shirt we talked about yesterday and then give people the option that one or this one. No changes just pick one because everyone has their own preference you cant please them all

we could also do the dickbutt shirt. I like that one

I'm still voting for dickbutt shirts.
How about a prototype car? That way no one can be mad their favorite street car isn't on there. Just throwing that out, honestly the reason I didn't do cars in the first 2 shirt designs I did was for exactly the reasons stated here.

Well let's be real for a moment. This which car it should be thing happened last time too.
Now one answer i do have, if they want the toyobaru, then sell them an autocross shirt because it's already on there.
Yea im more partial to an e36 too but this isn't the shirt to end all shirts. There can be a new one in a year. And maybe that one could be an e36
So here's what I'll do. If you choose not to do the miata design, I will work with a printer to have it made and I will talk to Scotty about a royalty percentage wise type deal if that's something he is interested in. Provided other alumni would be ok with it and the numbers make sense (I'm sure they won't like it but I'm a business major so this is how I've been trained to think. It would not be marked up much. Just enough to cover some of my time and Scotty's time and effort.
But Ryan, your argument is flawed as hell. If we go with the tire design, aren't we biasing people too? Isn't that saying we only drive cars with four wheels, or we only leave burnouts in the road and don't understand how to drive our cars properly using power correctly? Arnt we saying that we can only afford the tires for our cars and are too broke to put them on a car?
Like a stack of tires isn't exciting. It's a pile of rubber and you'll never get enough detail at the right price point to make anyone not involved with this discussion be able to tell what they are.

I never said I supported the tire design? I said I wanted dickbutt. I'm pretty sure tires are more neutral than a car on a shirt anyways? Just saying.
Dickbutt cannot be our official shirt. It can be A shirt, but not THE MM shirt. No.

We can put a bike tire on there. "Arnt we saying that we can only afford the tires for our cars and are too broke to put them on a car?" if thats your interpretation of a stack of tires then thats very negative. I like to think more positive, such as: we have so much fun we need more tires. Or, we go on track so much we have an extra set of tires. My interest usually peaks when i see a stack of tires. "Ohh i wonder what he's planning for". And at the end of the day, a steering wheel/tires are way less subjective than a car.

Sullivan: You should also consider alot of the ideas we come up with this year is to make sure new people feel included since we have issues with holding students int he club. Thats why we have such an emphasis on neutrality. Yes, within MM we'd all (well not even all) buy a Miata shirt but we don't know about future students so we're planning for them as well.
(LOL at dickbutt, i can't wait to see the stickers)

Honestly, I think we'd get enough dickbutt purchases to actually make them. Are there any copyrights associated with it?
Secondly, everyone should take a step back for a second and realize that we're all getting hung up on the car thing too much. Is it really that big of a deal? The Miata/E36/Batmobile is not to represent what we drive, but to represent the spirit of the club.
I think you guys think I like the Miata because I want one. It's because I think it represents what MM is about. Your first steps into the track experience. I also like it because we already have the design made.
On the font issue, I used to official MM font. If anyone has any other suggestions for fonts, I'll make it. I WILL NOT go and make a logo for 100 different fonts just to see what you guys like.
Also to recap this thread so far since it's going very fast.
-We have the awesome dickbutt shirt which everyone wants.
-I have a rough sketch of a shirt that the current members delegated on for 2 hours the other night
-We have the miata design
- Mixed reviews on the Miata design as the car isn't favored by everyone. If we can decide on another car, I'll be happy to try and get it drawn up
Sam, careful what you wish for. I'm out of town Friday night but I will have these in hand Saturday night. Stickers, not shirts.
