You'll be going 66 East towards DC, so it won't be as bad as going West like most commuters do around that time. Plan for more travel time than Google says by like... an hour. Hopefully traffic won't add that much, but you never know.

believe it or not, inside the beltway 66E in evening rush hour is worse than west. Look at google maps traffic right now, (im too lazy to take a screen shot)
that said, traffic isnt instant death or anything, you will still move, just slowly. not a big deal. just budget an extra 20 minutes and you will be fine.
Making the trip up today around 1PM. If all goes well I'll be buying the car, hitting the DMV on gallows road, then heading back before traffic gets too shitty.
