we'll see, 2 fast regulars in street tire were absent. my left foot braking is haggard. but its encouraging and just makes me want to get out and go faster.

video of the course from another car (corolla/AE86). was about 90 seconds in the morning, 80 in the afternoon due to some changes. we got about 8 runs total and i could have gone nuts with fun runs at the end of the day but had to split.

just so people are aware....this thing had stretched street tires, coilovers and about 2 inches of ground clearance. utterly unsuited to the task....but still had a great time and drove the wheels off of it.

in all seriousness though, its probably something i'll just wait on until there's a holiday deal or something because i'm gonna want a couple different mounts for car stuff and mountain biking. is hero3 the way to go these days? or is a used hero2 still a good buy?

Id go 3, better lens, wifi built in. I want to upgrade to a 3 black edition. But I have other purchases to make, like a ps4 and a new tv.

The metering is better for direct sunlight, and the microphone is so much better.The microphone alone is worth the extra dough for action sports.

EDIT: Hero2 being used with spot metering on. I went Hero2 because I'm cheap and didn't want to pay the extra money for the mic adapter when you use the Hero3.

awesome, thanks guys. i absolutely hate in-car videos that start off with great sound and then once out of first gear just turns to WHARRGARRBLSLHLKSJ for the remainder of the run. i originally thought i'd run an external mike through the trunk and tape to the back bumper for some good exhaust sound, but if the internal mike is that good, then F it. i'd rarely be doing something where I go over 60mph anyway.

i'm not a fancy guy but the wifi sounds pretty badass.

looks like my dashcam and gopro fund is maxed out for the year :lol:
