dyno day

Why? Because they post lower numbers than a Dynojet? As RJ has stated they are more useful, but he didn't say why. With a Dynojet all you can do is simulate a blast at WOT, from say, 2k to redline, with a mustang dyno you can simulate varied load and part throttle, allowing your tuner to tune your car from the comfort of the shop for around town driving conditions. Yes, they post lower numbers, but thats only because of the way it caculates torque, you know HP is never measured right? Only torque, HP is a function of torque at an RPM.

Reason I was asking is for AI we have to use a specific version of a Dynojet for certification. If I were going to get my car tuned I would use a Mustang Dyno, if the operator was at least as competent as a Dynojet operator.

Low RPM + High load is where detonation will hide, and never show up on a dynojet.... but you'll run into those situations and even if everything looks good on the dinojet you might melt your pistons on the track.

What kind of dyno do you have? If dynojet model number please.

Sorry been busy.

Its the dynojet 224 2wd model, I will upgrade it to 4wd with eddy current for load testing in the future.

The shops coming along guys, working hard to get it open first week of July.
